Seaside

by

Nathan Thomas Zochert

Walking in the sand.
Held by a naive hand.
The sun on my head.
My soul was fed.
To a place of renovation I was being led.

Water rose up to my knee.
The tide was reaching from the sea.
I don't think I'll ever be free.
As I was enclosed by the evening tide.
I knew there was nowhere to hide.

Out to sea I was sucked.
Why did everything get so fucked.
As the current ripped apart my soul.
I couldn't think.
I was losing control.
Where was my mind going.
Where was my mind taking me.
To a place of unknown origin.
Down to the bottom of the sea.
