Goodbye

by

Carrie Wood

As the mourningful pain sank in my heart,
I slowly started to fall apart.
And as a tear formed in my eye,
then I slowly began to cry.

Tell me, why did it have to be,
why did God take a part of me?
You told me once not to cry
but it's so hard to say goodbye.

I see your face' I hear your voice.
I must let go, I have no choice.

I know, in years, that I'll join you,
and we'll do the things we used to do.
But now that we are torned apart,
I'll keep your love in my heart.
