A Mist In Misery

by

Angela Wilson

Summer rain,I'm standing in the mist
Shouting at the sky why?
Why must I bare the pain of such misery
Of broken bottled drunken nights
Of last month's tortures
The plummering of hard fists
The first day of the month was hell
All he did was yell
About his Bad childhood memories of
an abusive step dad
And I got the blame
But when the liquor poured into a glass
The yelling stopped
The plummering fists stopped
Then it was martigraw time
Like New Orleans
At least a few days out of the month
The dark clouds faded quickly
With the blink of an eye
And Sunshine greeted me
Like a family member from out of town
And it's warmth gave me serne peace
At least for a while
Then like a bat out of hell
It upped and faded away
Then the dark clouds waved to me
And said I'm back
And the plummering begin
From Another month's torture
My soul died
And I cried
Summer rain, I stood in the mist
And I shouted at the sky
And Asked why, why God
Did you have leave me in such misery
