The 23rd Hour

As my body slides into the sea of foam
I succumb to the calm of motionlessness
My senses are charmed by the still
of this hydrogenoxygen mix

Letting go of intellect
I give myself permission
to enjoy the thought of you

It is impossible to measure the pleasure
enveloping encompassimg dissecting
and nourishing me in this
the 23rd hour

In this state of mind of mine
I am wholly vulnerable
to the memory you deposited
throughout my entire being
ensuring I find serenity in my dreams

When its touch is foreign to me and my automatic response to it is familiar I feel caught, caught in the tight space
You know, the unknown known place and de ja vu whispers sweetly... There is no mystery
When it grabs and shakes my consciousness for recognition and my automatic response to it is familiar I feel numb... dumbfounded
Stuck between amnesia and total recall where de ja vu assures me
There is no mystery at all
When it abandons convention, restricts false interpretation,defies conventionality and sends electronic shock waves to my heart's main artery--- simultaneously
I stop breathing...
My eyes close
and it seizes the opportunity
It takes hold and its impulses massage away every forgetfulness, cramped quarter... all perceived threat
and de ja vu lullibies me as I sleep
There is no mystery
There is no mystery
The next time 'no longer foreign' touches me I will remember
