Linda

by

Rob Weems

The day Linda was born,
Heaven opened and an angel ascended so meek and mild,
Upon her parents; God granted a perfect gift,
A baby girl - a precious child.

As she grew; she blessed the world,
With a love that seemed to never end,
You could count yourself so very blessed,
If Linda was your friend.

Then one day a man's prayer came true,
Asking God for one to share his life,
God heard his prayer and blessed him so,
And Linda became his wife.

As they grew in love, hope, and faith,
Building memories stone by stone,
Linda asked in prayer for God to give her,
Children of her own.

God heard her prayer and blessed her so,
Four children were given to her to love,
She cared for them with such a passion,
Putting nothing else above.

As God looked down, He began to miss his angel,
For her return; He could not wait,
Like a candle in the wind,
Linda returned to Heaven's gate.

I thank God for the time we had to share,
As for me... There can be no other,
For Linda was not... my Child,
My Friend,
My Wife,
You see... Linda was my Mother.

I love you Mom!

Forever More

by

Rob Weems

I long to wipe away your tears,
And be the one to make to smile,
Like Magic - I'd wish away your fears,
And hold you for a while.

I long to mend your broken heart,
To replace your pain with joy,
To treat you like a Lady,
For your heart is not a toy.

Into your eyes; I long to gleam,
Your faith in love; Restore,
Together; We'd find the strength to dream,
And love forever more.

Miss Right

by

Rob Weems

We have prayed this prayer a thousand times,
As we walk along life's beach,
We search for love as we hold our breath,
And yet love seems just out of reach.

We wish upon the shooting stars,
and we have watched the sun to set,
In our dreams; We share a perfect love,
Even though we have only met.

No need to fear what tomorrow brings,
Though life will take its toll,
Our friendship means the world to me,
For you; I will bare my soul.

My heart is yours if you trust in me,
As God as my guiding light,
Love has finally shared the key,
For YOU are my "Miss Right".

Envisioned Words

by

Rob Weems

I have envisioned the glistening of your hair,
And the twinkle within you eyes,
Through your words;
My heart has ventured where,
Not bound by any skies.

With every verse you've touch my soul,
and impelled my love to strive,
Where realists shy away or fail,
The dreamers shall survive.

Your voice of hope calls out to me,
To keep the dream in sight,
"A Love Affair of Literature",
Through our words; We share the night.

Chivalry From The Heart

by

Rob Weems

Now that I'm away from you,
I truly realize,
The awesome thought of falling tears,
As they leave your disheartened eyes.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder,
For our souls will never part,
I shall return and never wander,
With chivalry from the heart.

Still Loving You

by

Rob Weems

Sometimes trials and trouble,
Seem to get you down,
Your turn for a caring shoulder,
But sometimes I'm not around.

You may not think I love you,
But the good LORD knows I do,
So please stand here beside me,
For I'm still loving you.

The question in your heart,
The feeling we have are real?
Are they just a passing fancy?
Or just a simple thrill.

To answer that simple question,
Search deep inside your heart,
For when I say 'I love you',
It tears my soul apart.

So just have faith in our love,
And we will make it through,
For our feelings were sent from up above,
For I'm still loving you.

Will You Love Me?

by

Rob Weems

Will you love me when I'm weak,
The way you love me when I'm strong?
When I receive my calling,
Will you love me when I'm gone?

Lord knows it's hard to take it,
But the road's a narrow one,
Will you love me when I'm weak,
The way you love me when I'm strong?

By choice we've chosen to follow,
To walk the narrow way,
Through trials and persecution,
Together we will stay.

For we are not of this world,
But an example for the world to see,
We love to serve Him for He said,
'Do this in remembrance of me'.

Lord knows it's hard to take it,
But the road's a narrow one,
Will you love me when I'm weak,
The way you love me when I'm strong?

Hearts To Keep

by

Rob Weems

Every time I think of you,
My eyes begin to fill with tears,
Falling drops of happiness,
That wash away my fears.

You'll never know just how I feel,
Or understand the things I do,
Just believe the love we have is real,
Every word; For I love you.

And every night I go to sleep,
With thoughts of you in my heart,
Knowing your love is mine to keep,
As strong as the very start...

Fate In A Feeling

by

Rob Weems

Why did we meet and why so late,
With such little time to share,
The reason I found was simply 'Fate',
The need for someone to care.

Thoughts of love; We tried to fight,
Reflections of past heartaches,
The feeling we share; They must be right,
For GOD makes no mistakes.

Though time is short, our fire will burn,
For now my duties call,
But by our love I shall return,
For love will conquer all.

Christine's Carol

by

Rob Weems

If times like these come only in dreams,
In the midst of reality,
I'd put aside my foolish schemes,
For a glimpse of what love might be.

But I've been blessed by GOD above,
By faith, He answers prayers,
I prayed for one to forever last,
For one who really cares.

And in your place I'd die for you,
If 'Loving You' was a crime,
With you; Forever is not long enough,
Against the sands of time.

The House On The Hill

by

Rob Weems

As a child I built sand castles,
Which lasted just a day,
I dreamed of knighthood and a princess so fair,
And yet childhood fades away.

As a boy; I built with admiration,
In my dreams; I held your hand,
Walking the sands as a child I played,
And yet time clouds what I had planned.

Now as a man, I build with love,
Leaving childish thoughts behind,
Remembering all the love we shared,
For true love is hard to find.

There will always be a place for you and I,
Built upon memories so vast they reach the sky,
And our friendship will stand forever still,
For in my dreams...
We share the house on the hill.

As a child; I knew you...
As a boy; I admired you...
As a man; I love you...

The Call

by

Rob Weems

I will never let you down,
For we have come to far to fall,
I have never loved this way before,
As if I've never loved at all.

I will carry all your burdens,
In exchanged for just your love,
For passion has captured my chivalrous heart,
And in truth shall rise above.

As I walk; I may stumble,
Only human; I may fall,
But as long as your love is still giving,
My heart receives the call.

I'll Catch You If You Fall

by

Rob Weems

Our fear of heights from mountains high,
To valleys down below,
We search for love and comfort,
What awaits; we do not know.

We long for love, but fear the fall,
Not knowing who will stay,
An answered prayer; A gift from God,
If we would only kneel to pray.

If by faith, you trust in me,
For love will conquer all,
Our fate will be forever free,
"I'll catch you if you fall."

Faith To Pray

by

Rob Weems

In a world that searches to resolve,
In a time that men do say,
"There is NO God, We just evolve",
We still have faith to pray.

When others speak against His word,
We hold firmly to God's law,
They announce that we are "Fools for Christ",
So we pray for those who fall.

Our time is short; we hold our ground,
We walk God's narrow way,
We are in the world; not of it,
And we keep our faith to pray.

Kindred Spirits

by

Rob Weems

I walk along my journey's path,
Alone; I choose this route,
Scorned by broken hearts of wrath,
And love: I'll do without.

Content to live my life alone,
My dream; No need to share it,
Our paths have crossed - My soul revived,
Could this be a Kindred Spirit?

I hold my breath; I hear you breathe,
Two hearts that beat the same,
Thoughts and reservations; Fears,
In both; They still remain.

How long this dream will last; Unknown,
So we will live each day to day,
Memories and precious moments; Shared,
Embraced along the way.

And if your heart calls out to me,
My soul will surely hear it,
For fate took away my loneliness,
Replaced with a Kindred Spirit.
