Friendship Remembered

the tears flow freely
streaking my face
as the warm blanket of friendship
envelopes my soul

the loneliness is fading
the lost feeling is slowly erased
my heart begins to be comforted
in an old place

if only these emotions
could surroound me
and carry me
to this new home

the moon and sun
they follow me
old baggage does too
but the heart is abandoned

one day the fog will lift
my path will be again clear
the sadness will be a memory
when friendship grows again
