Waiting for Utopia

by

V Roseline Victoria

I keep dreaming of a new world ,
A world undented ,without pain,
Instead I find myself with nothing,
But filled over with lasting shame.

How can I last without peace?
When my world is full of turmoil,
I can hear the dying screams,
Of those hearts full tired of toil.

When lasting pain twists me down ,
Breaks me into nothingness,
When the world goes into a frown,
And all I see is blinding darkness.

When rarely do I see a silver lining,
In the clouds which hide my day,
And my weary heart is full pining,
To help me get to the right way.

Still I see after every breakdown,
The strength to begin fresh anew,
Hard life still carries me weakly on,
Feeding me on its bitter life's dew.

Utopia's coming

by

V Roseline Victoria

Long ago as wakefully I slept ,
I saw myself carried away ,
To a place marvellously kept,
How mysterious,Its beyond today.

I watched for long ,i cannot say ,
Breathing in a sight sweet unseen,
And soon, back i was on my way ,
To reality,gruesome sights mean.

I keep dreaming of Utopia nigh,
Where bliss would all abound,
But here I let many a sigh,
I lie still , not making a sound.

Maybe if i try a bit harder still,
I may chance to Arcadia go back,
where Joy would ever be my fill,
And nothing eternally would i lack.

Yet it has remained a dream all long ,
A dream yet to come ambrosially true,
One day all will burst into a song,
As the broken earth begins a life new.

love

by

V Roseline Victoria

I kept waiting for love to come ,
i kept waiting till the setting of the sun.
How did love fade and walk away ?
When i thought its steps led the way?
Sadness overwhelms me and still does so,
I am hurt but 'twill never ever show,
i question-can i love this way again?
When bitter cupid causes all my pain?
I tread in fear ,ever hating the light,
Which makes me fear every dark still night,
Countless the pieces into which my heart
has broken,it hurts ,cries every slain part,
But may I not find my love again , once more?
Till then i won't cross to the other shore.

A Lesson in the Rain

by

V Roseline Victoria

A tiny creature danced in the rain,
amidst the tall bushes bent by the wind,
I sat sheltered , away from the gale,
Envying its prancing in the rain.

The wind roared, pushed the leaves aside,
And i saw its face once again,
Its tiny head bobbed in pride,
It had defeated the mighty rain.

While people scurried in rash haste,
To shelter their breath from the soaking rain,
It danced amidst the leaves and bracken,
Not caring at all that it did rain.

Its lithe body was'nt deterred at all,
Getting the blow, not feeling the pain,
It cared not if it would slip or fall,
For it-"The sun shone after the rain".

But man wants warmth all the time,
Hating to be melted by sorrow, grief,
But the little creature in the rain,
Taught me-"To Brave is to gain".
