Angels in our Midst

by

Tina Tzaperas

Some say they don’t believe
when I tell them I’ve been kissed,
by a pure and spiritual creature,
there are angels in our midst.

She came to me late that night
as I held him in my arms.
She told me not to worry,
she’d keep him safe from harm.

She was a special messenger,
sent by God above, To help him through his daily life
and protect him with her love.

She said she’d always be with him
to help him through each day.
But she would also need my help
to guide him all the way.

To lead him down the Christian path,
she cannot do alone.
She said I need to teach him,
he will learn by what he is shown.

Some say they don’t believe
when I tell them I’ve been kissed.
How can they not believe
there are angels in our midst.

America Shattered

by

Tina Tzaperas

She felt the explosion
down deep in her soul.
Then her skies filled with darkness
from a fire out of control.

She couldn't believe it happened,
she didn't understand.
This wasn't supposed to happen,
not on her soil, not on her land.

Then the truth came rushing at her
and it became more than clear,
When she saw so many faces
streaked with blood and tears.

Her innocence was gone,
blown away by the blast.
Gone in an instant,
shattered with the glass.

Streaming down her face
was a river of tears,
And the lump in her throat
was a mountain of fear.

Who could do such a thing,
it was hard to comprehend,
Was it worth the innocent children,
her loved ones, her friends?

She will never be the same,
she is filled with despair.
And the ache in her heartland,
is almost too much to bear.

Season of Life

by

Tina Tzaperas

It's a miracle...
the way stars shine, so bright,
the way the moon glows
on a warm summer night.

It's a miracle...
the way trees grow, so tall,
the way their leaves turn
glorious colors in fall.

It's a miracle...
the way snow falls, so light,
the way winter winds
blow with such might.

It's a miracle...
the way the sky looks, so blue,
the way spring mornings
are covered in dew.

It's a miracle...
the life God has given, to you,
so live day by day because
each day is brand new.
