You waved at me today
And I didn't notice
The hand stretching out of the clouds
The billowy white form in the sky.

You spoke to me today
And I didn't notice
The shrill cry of the bird
Who brought me the message.

You smiled at me today
And I didn't notice
The face of the flowers
Chasing the sun.

You laughed with me today
And I didn't notice
The shrieks of the children
At play this morning.

You loved me today
And I didn't notice
The warm embrace
Of the sun upon my arms

You cried for me today
And I didn't notice
The soft tears
On the petals of roses.
