You Touched Me

by

Lucy M. Troup

I've always had this dream of love,
So wonderful and true,
Too impossible to speak of,
'Til the day I found you.
But when he touched my cheek that day,
I knew that I would find,
One who'd love me in every way,
So gentle and so kind.
As time went on I came to know,
Another part of him,
Aman who's not afraid to show,
His true emotions from within.
I've come to love this gentle man,
Whose passion starts a fire,
So deep in me and yet he can,
Take me somewhere higher.
A somewhere that I love to go,
A happy crying place,
Where tears of joy can overflow,
A smile upon my face.
My love for him will grow and then,
I know true love will be,
Mine forever as I knew then,
On that day...you touched me.

Time... Without You

by

Lucy M. Troup

Should I wash my hair or do some chores?
Take a nap, spend time outdoors?
I sit here thinking, what to do,
Time on my hands, alone, without you.

Should I take a bath or read a book?
Make some coffee, find something to cook?
Sure, these things will fill my time,
But thoughts of you just flood my mind.

Who will hold my hand or touch my hair?
Brush my cheek or say they care?
I need your kiss, your loving touch,
I miss these things, they mean so much.

I think of your smile, your warm embrace,
The love in your eyes when you touch my face,
These thougts of you when we're apart,
Won't fill my time, only my heart,
