Crashing on the Shore

by

Alissa Trezise

Each move I make is like a wave...
Crashing on the shore,
Although very unique and
extremely significant,
it is but one of many more to follow.
As long as there is life remaining
and hope prevailing,
then the waves will continue to come...
Crashing on the shore.
There is a lot that lies ahead;
unknown yet expected.
Some waves that you will witness
will be much bigger,
effecting the ocean,
everything in it and
everything that surrounds it,
a great deal more.
Whereas others will be mearly ripples
barely making a difference;
none the less changing the overall picture,
entirely.
And even though you know
you will see many more,
you watch bewildered
at each wave...
Crashing on the shore.

Touched by an Angel

by

Alissa Trezise

I can't remember what I
ever did before we met.
You've made my life the way
I've ever wanted it to be.
I lay awake in the still of the night
and wonder if it's real;
I've touched an angel and seen the sign
knowing that you care.
If I ever dream of perfect
your the only one I see;
my whole life has been fulfilled
now I know that you exist.
Sad but true life cuts like a knife
and you are torn from my reach.
But know now that I am thinking of you
until the day I think no more.

Untitled

by

Alissa Trezise

I feel you inside me
Kicking and screaming
You left me a part of you
But I thought I was dreaming.
The ghost of my actions
returns to my grave
I'm left with a burden
Now I must be brave.
Where are you today
Tomorrow, in a week
To hold my trembling body
And give the answers i seek.
There's no one around
Am i really alone?
There's still no one there
And my burden had grown.

Dream for a Dreamer

by

Alissa Trezise

In the dead of the night
Surrounded in silence
I search for an answer
That will contain my reliance.

Beyond the horizon
I can see my destiny
It calls and it screams
Denying my fantasy.

A silhouette can be seen
An outline of your body
Reminding me i am alone
And your out of reach to me.

There's one thing i wish for
A fulfillment a completion
A simple dream for a dreamer
To cease the depletion.

Never be There Again

by

Alissa Trezise

It all goes by so fast
I missed the signs on the road,
I never stopped to feel you
Or let you know I was there.
The words we used were futile,
They glossed over the truth;
They told you lies and called me names
And still we got nowhere.
At some point in time
At the start or at the end,
We lost our way and lost our minds
We were crazy back then.
It was only the other day
We pretended we knew happiness;
It seems like a million years ago
Coz we'll never be there again.

Life Hurts

by

Alissa Trezise

I hurt;
Do you?
You dont?
You will.
Life sux
I know,
It doesn't?
You'll see.
Hold me
You wont,
Surprised?
Not really.
Wonna talk?
Let's talk,
We're talking
So talk.
Tell me
Is it real?
What?
Love.
Is it?
Prove it;
Here,
What?
For me?
Wow!
Is it love?
No!
Hate?
No!
Sadness
No!
Happiness?
Anger?
Frusteration?
Apathy?
Freedom?
Passion?
Pain?
Hope?
Faith?
Embarrasment?
Charity?
No!
No!
No!
What is it?
The end.
I hurt;
Do you?
You don't?
You will.

In Love With You

by

Alissa Trezise

If we never make it to the place I know we can,
Think of me on your journey back to where we’ve been.
I’ll just be sitting here waiting for you to come ‘round,
Even though you’re not coming anymore.
Time continues to pass like we know it always will,
But my thoughts have stopped and frozen on a picture of you.
Wondering what you are doing now,
Hoping you’re thinking of me.
The road is long and it twists and it turns,
But I know it can take us to where we want to go.
Be brave, be strong and I will be too,
Because I think I could be in love with you

Look What You've Done

by

Alissa Trezise

Lost and searching for a sign from you
Can't keep me waiting
I got to know are these feelings true
Do we have a chance?
Don't keep me guessing
Your eyes keep me locked in a trance
I can never find the right thing to say
I babble constantly
Maybe I'm just afraid
I wasn't always this way
But you got me feeling like never before
I laugh at the dumbest things
You've opened for me a new door
when will I once again be me
When will the reasons finally be heard
When will eyes now so blind finally see
Someday I will know
Why you make me feel this way
Someday we will be friends and defeat our foes
Love is so confusing
I am so lost
But for once there is a battle i don't mind losing
