You and Me

by

Lindsay Trenton

Flying high
In the sky
I really should
I wish I could
It would be fun
Flying by the sun
Just you and me
I wish it could be
Way up there
In the air

Should I?

by

Lindsay Trenton

Pink and black
Lying in my sack
A lot of white
It’s in my sight
It looks so good
I wonder if I should
I want to hold it close to me
Oops, there goes my Spam Musabi

friends

by

Lindsay Trenton

It is true
That you
Me
And she
Will be together
Forever
Never shall we part
Our hearts
Friends
Till the end

excuses

by

Lindsay Trenton

I read a book
That took
Me somewhere grand
When I held it in my hand
I wanted to stay and read it in bed
But instead
I had to go
And so
That is why I didn’t read the book for homework!

Earth

by

Lindsay Trenton

That guy named God
He is quite odd
He made the world from nothing
And somehow got something
Everything came from him
So when
People are bad
I bet he gets so sad
He did real great
So I think we should take
Sometime and give him a hand

Iniki

by

Lindsay Trenton

It was a disaster
But then after
People came together
And tried to help one another
Some people had no money
But got help from everybody
When some people talk about it they get real sad
But I don’t think it turned out that bad.

Mom

by

Lindsay Trenton

Everyone
Has one
They are something you need
Oh, can’t you see
They help you when you’re sad
Sometimes they get mad
But they are there from day to day
And I am not ashamed to say
I really love you, Mom!

Teachers

by

Lindsay Trenton

I don’t see how they put up with us
Everybody thinking that they are just a genius
And they’re really not
But still teachers give it all they got
Trying to make us understand
So let’s just give them a hand.

Love

by

Lindsay Trenton

Once you find it
It will never quit
It is something you can share
It is how you show you care
Everybody has it deep inside
So do not let it hide
Give a little every day
And you will feel better in every way.

people

by

Lindsay Trenton

Everybody is not the same
And not just by their name
Different color eyes
Although most of them can cry
Now hair
That’s not something we all share
So when you see someone different walking down the street
Don’t laugh and stomp your feet.
So anyway, I would just like to comment
That, hey, everybody is different.

I’ll be all right

by

Lindsay Trenton

I am always alone
Never having a place to call home
I live on the street
With nothing to eat
You wouldn’t believe what I have seen
Out here people are so mean
When I get real sad
And even a little mad
I don’t know why,
But I just stare up at the sky
And I know
That even though I have no where to go
I’ll be all right.
