Free Spirit

Rolling down the highway
With no place to go
Wondering whats happening
On the other side of the road
People pass by yet nobody waves
Tell me whats happening to people these days

Rain drops under the flower
The sun goes down within an hour
Times are a changing and our lives are rearranging
But my mind is free
Like the summer breeze
Lost in the midst of reality

Mother Nature's Love

by

Sherry Torrence

Sometimes people just don't understand
my thoughts and dreams of a peaceful world
It shouldn't be about who is rich or poor;
or who has education
Never mind who is trying to get his fair share in that
twenty dollar stash
It should be about love and community
About working together and sharing mother nature's gifts
With in this crazy world I know
there are people out there who still want to share
their knowledge and skills with others
Peace and Love to Mother Nature for she is the only one
who is truely willing to give.

Web of Life

My dreams are lost in reality
Beneath the clouds of hatred and greed
Mother nature provides us with all that is 'kind'
Yet society views it as "all mine"
No one can point the finger
And the finger can't be pointed at a specific one
All are brothers and sisters
And soon their souls will combine as one.
One lost in the web of life

Thank you Mom*My Little Girl'98

by

Sherry Torrence

It seems just like yesterday
When I was told you were on the way
What had happened to my little girl
I brought home that blessed day?

Where are those lazy days
With puppies in the swing
Or those sunny days when the
Telephone would forever ring?

They passed on so quickly
With elementary school just a blur
And that pretty little girl
Soon became a teenager.

Then came high school,
Boys, cars, and dances
Cheerleading, and senior president
Then college with many chances.

Soon you walk the aisle
Your education complete
But you will always be my little girl
And I think you are so neat.

So many times we have disagreed
But I appreciate your point of view
That you have a cause and are willing to give
And that is what makes you, YOU!

I know I don't tell you much
How much I really love you
And can hardly believe that my little girl
Is turning twenty two.

No matter where you go
Or where I may roam
My little girl will always be in my heart
And with me you will always be at home.

Love

Lost in a dream
My soul wraps softly around yours
Holding tightly by the finger tips
I look into your eyes in seek of a friend
And to my suprise, I find a
friend as well as a lover.

Soulmate?

Is there someone out there looking
in my direction
Ready to see the light shine across
the country side
Having a desire to see the highest mountain
Wanting to find the ocean
When that person comes around be sure to give
him a ring and let him know that I too, have
that dream.
