Obsession

by

Sean M Therrien

I should be accustomed to it by now
The loneliness...
it creeps up again, and brings it's companions
my want
my fear
my sorrow...my beautiful sorrow.
Her thought is so sweet.
Tears fail to rise again,
emotion is so elusive.
I wish I could understand, but my mind races.
Wandering to try to find you,
your memory still intoxicates me.
release me
free me
show me love
let me know it's embrace.
I am choked up by your' emptiness
the gash left in my soul by your parting weakens me.
Every morning I wilt, and every night your sun breathes life back into me.
I am lost in your eyes, yet I am so cold, and lifeless.
Return please, return to crush me.
I long to be underneath you, to feel you again.
Then, I hear your call, and my heart sinks back into place.
Yet I still yearn, I crave all of you.
Consume me, I need you to need me.
Let me forever die in you.
