As the time of farewell was growing ever so near
I found it to difficult to hold back the tears
I think of the wonderful times in our past
Memories of you..wow...what a blast
Your life on this plane was full and happy
I know how you felt, so I will try to not be sappy
The love we have my friend will only grow
On earth and in heaven i'm sure it will show
Knowing not what waits for us around the bend
Only knowing your spirit will be full and happy again
You kept your promise to always fight
And now time has come to say goodnight
We will not be apart for long
But on this plane you don't belong
So close your eyes and take creator's hand
And let him lead you to another land
A land where we will see each other again some sweet day
Just as soon, my friend, as I find my own way
For love trancends both time and space
And one day, once again, I will see your sweet face
To reach this glorious place is the greatest of goals
So go in peace, love and light...and rest sweet soul
