The Worlds' Battlefield

by

Anne Strausser

Violence beacons the world as it smolders into ruin.
Brother against Brother,
such hatred the actions do portray.
Innocent lives being stripped away.
With overtones of regret,
sholders blind resistance of yesterday.
If there'd be a sign of hope,
with such inspiration to apply.
The concept drains, with tainted blood,
and emotional strains,
towards merciless captors.
all chances maybe gone to soom.
But with everything wrong in the world...
God has always been,
and will always be,
THE WORLDS' BATTLECRY.

CRYING OUTLOUD

by

Anne Strausser

GUNS, LETS FACE IT THE TRAUMA'S NOT FUN.
What makes the desperation so loud...
Running the streets, Betraying your life,
taking away the life of another is heavy.
Not realizing, the outcome on the world,
from your actions is deadly.
Why chance the odds when it comes to guns,
there's no room for mistakes.
Be responsible, keep them locked up and safe.
If you're running learn to stay in place.
BECAUSE ONCE YOU PULL THAT TRIGGER,
A WORTHY LIFE WILL BE NO TRACE.
Do something good with your life,
make yourself proud.
But please, ... Don't pick up any gun for crying outloud

Lifes' Dangling Dances

by

Anne Strausser

Let not the unrequestered morning light fade you.
For lifes' purpose has no resolve of certainty.
But with all the pains and injustices,
that may crowd ones own existance.
Take the shelter of heart,
to repose to all possible tranquility.
Life's a jewel and you're its maker.
So don't let the burdens drown you in fright.
If someone wrongs you,
be compassionate and make things right.
For the price of love is marked,
If a tear is shed or even blood.
You deserve the transpose of the morning light.
pick up all the pieces, in your life and fight.
Stand firmly, love deeply,
When life dangles you you'll have a clear sight.

The Lighthouse

by

Anne Strausser

Let your heart" be the lighthouse"
for loved ones and strangers on a stormy night.
The voice of reason as the world slumbers
but you struggle with personal plight.
Let your heart "be the lighthouse"
when you know love is the answer
to anything and everything at all.
Keep your integrity strong,
when someone's backs against the wall.
be their silent compassion,
your empathy and blind fate
could make their world right.
let your heart be the lighthouse
for everyone when you see that love
makes everything worth a fight.
please never use violence though that's just not right.

Confusion of Racism

by

Anne Strausser

Why has the world with such lack of individual integrity.
Made a lasting impact of personal growth.
By the borders of racial compromise.
In such a devisive worldly ruin,
has shattered peoples lives with slothe.
When there was separation by a race,
And all its ugly disgrace.
Shouldn't people be secure in life.
Follow the rules, be touch with love.
Maybe when the constitution was wrote,
a slight forsight of the HUMANRACE.
why should an individual,
be declared to swallow their pride.
Even in their humanity,
they must want to hide.
There should be no borders of race.
Just humans in the world with no disgrace.
love is a much better place.

The Barren Desert

by

Anne Strausser

Over the barren desert,
a rainbow shadow kisses the sky.
For a loyal seeker, gold's at the rainbows end.
Exploring the desert,
with such enduring but exhaustive stride.
A drop of water would be a friend.
But this conquest won't be discouraged merely
by witnessing everything parched and dry.
Even with evading exhaustion,
a valor could make it by.
For life's a desert,
Always take-up all endeavors,
Thirst for life.
Be nobel and kind a modern day goodguy.

beauty of flowers

by

Anne Strausser

Life's like a flower,
to be consummed in all its inspirational beauty.
never to be parted from all its purpose.
the bud holds hope in a dark hour.
to take the delicate petals into your palm.
for a moment the soul blossoms,
into a life altering shower.
but with such inspiration to ignite
from a tiny bud,
restore your life, plant your roots,
instead of relying on life's beauty,
give thanks to life's maker.
the one with life altering power.
God.

The Forgotten Brothers

by

Anne Strausser

Homeless, desolate and on the street.
Nothing to remind of a forgotten society
but these weary feet.
Mere survival or any survival,
is more confined that foot to eat.
And no-one in this world, can be,
the willing or the compassionate,
or the chosen to take this seat.
Why has the world slipped,
Why did my world crash,
to much of something, and to little of everything,
makes it just to easy to foget and retreat.
A little energy, a-lot of dignity,
but things will never be complete.
Not even if someone could wear the shoes on my feet.

Dreams

by

Anne Strausser

Living in a world of blunderous schemes.
It;s still important to hold onto your dreams.
For there isn't always posies and greens.
Walking into life with a clear view
is the most important thing.
Even if your life were all gravel and stone
be gracious to everything it brings.
Let your hopes make the world sing..

untitled

Anne Strausser

Has this world finally gone insane.
Terrorist rebuking our freedom,'
hijacking our planes.
provoking yet another war.
lives being tossed, blood being poured.
such a high price of innocent lives.
bodies being torn, burned, and slaughtered
it's highly deplored.
even with substantial compromise
the world spirit always substaned.
what's all this fighting for.
It deals more with the rebels spiritual grain.
we suggest peacetalks, we talk peace and walk.
please, please, stop the killing.
the ingest of violence is chilling.
instead of starting wars, fight for a worthy cause.
where you have something to gain.
i know that notion's too plain.
but i'm glad and proud to live among the free and brave.
it's just contemptable there's so many graves

Landscapes Of My Mind

by

Anne Strausser

I remember not so long ago,
the world was once kind.
There was sincere goodness in the people you find.
People you meet would offer an encouraging
smile or even a seat.
there was respect for nature,
listening to the song birds,
wondering what would be the words.
The rippling river and canyon so grand.
People eager to offer a helping hand.
Inspiration from a mere speck of sand.
lovers so much in love.
now it's push comes to shove.
I remember children waiting for the icecream man
and cocaine wan't the choice of flavor.
And abortion wasn't in demand.
Now violence is the brainwashing music.
Vigilantys rule this land.
Whatever happended to gods country,
it's hard too understand.
I prefer the world not so long ago,
Where living in the world gave you peace of mind.

TRUST IN GOD

by

Anne Strausser

When life seems to hand you blow apon blow.
And you're not sure of the best of intentions
of either friend or foe.
If things just seem to be as if you have no clout.
Trust in god.
Miracles will take route,
they'll be no doubt, your life will flow.
Gods love is the only reassurance this you should know.
If you're faced with poverty,
no place to go,
just turn your sholder to god.
Let in him your heartache show.
Don't turn to drugs, follow the crowd,'
there confusion leads them where they can't be proud.
If someone leads your life astray.
Run don't walk to god, there's no other way.

Loving You

by

Anne Strausser

Loving you,
has brought light to the darkness of my soul.
Spending time with you,
has shown me when a heart is truely happy.
It gives you life a harmony to dance.
It seems like I could of spent eternity running.
Until we met and I knew it was worth a chance.
Giving myself was a promise at first glance.
But living with regrets because we parted
is an ugly circumstance.

Moonlight Bay

by

Anne Strausser

Whenever there's a constant love, my heart carries you.
As forever stands still,
and i'm unsure of the way.
I look back to yesterday,
wondering why am I so lonely today.
My heart had a melody, a song of promise,
showing me the balances of love.
But my song now is a dreary tune.
As the hours become long,
now that the one I love is gone.
All I can do is follow the light of the moon.
To old lovers' moonlight bay.
Because the day I said goodbye,
I had always known.
YOu were my one and only.
From every mountain,
From every shore,
Even from old lovers' moonlight bay.

Points Of View

by

Anne Strausser

Love Provides:)
Cowards Hide
The Downtrowdant lie
The Optimist Sigh
Optimist substane
pessimist withstand
The angels cry
The world abandons and prides in caos then wonders why.
Only a truly concerned pry.
If you're running in circles
Ask yourself why
Seek love, respect life, rejoice angels,
Live in denial,
Be hateful and die.
Love always provides:)

When a women is predetained of her reproductive health.
She may seem to abandon the rights of life itself.
How can such an impacting decision,
blindly discern her wealth.
No-one has the freedom at matters of life.
the ability to choose doesn't mean the right to kill.
and it sickens me to see women proclaiming their concern.
because these women who walks in a fragile womens hand.
The one who's manipulated, vulnerable, and scared.
The deepest decision with no time for regret.
some women are obliged to walk them towards death.
not to offer compassion or discern,
will her hand be the friend when the women
who had aboritons can't forget.
such contrite viciousness of life.
No-one can carry the burdens of the world.
From a women's abortion rights.
Because intentional violence instead of
intervention is a costly price.
The women who shout there outcry,
should shout of there contempt because
still women and children continue to die.
even homelessness, or burdens
as a passage to choose,
is just an ugly lie,
true compassion is the only way to make it bye

sunshine

by

Anne Strausser

The sunshine preludes the earth.
With the brightest of its rays.
The shout of its spirit,
to brighten ones day.
While some live life in differant tonesof gray.
Let the rays collide,
onto a suncatcher of colors of brilliance for today.
Rule your world with suttle tone of mirth.
But for today I'd choose pink.
The passionate intellectual side of birth.
Whatever colors rule your world,
Just go out and play hard,
but don't forget to letin the sun.

Song Of Silence

by

Anne Strausser

I hear suttle echoes within the wind,
the voices of someone who's life had been.
The echoes are clearest on the palest night.
I looked over my sholder,
something quite wasn't right.
It was my heart that made me turn around.
as I looked distantly at an eagle as it touched the ground.
If you listen closely to the sounds,
of the silence, as the wind spins around.
So many lives, so many lives,
it wasn't their time,
But the evil in this world cut them down in their prime.
Was it the greed, or was it the drugs,
was it the lack of compassion from someones hugs.
maybe they just didn't have a dime.
maybe they were a victim of crime.
or even worse what if they lost their life one night.
Because of someone's ignorance, thus a hate crime.
Maybe someone else will hear the echos of silence
in the wind.
As a tribute of lives lost in the world.
As a tribute of a lost world.
Running from truth, running from peace,
Just remember to let you heart speak.

g.b.y.
g.b.

Meanings

by

Anne Strausser

If you were born without a name how would your life change.
To think that there's no validation,
of you on earth.
Would you worry more of financial gain.
Or would you be more concerned of your existance on earth.
Just to consider, that apon your birth there was no name.
SOmething with so much power,
would your life have direction, would it be the same.
The meaning of life, deals more with appreciation
of every hour.
even if you were surounded by grief and shame.
Making your presence count can be the
challenging pain.
But if you have limited importance you can
live your life in vain.
You're the importance,
Life is the challenge,
The World is the INspiration,
harmony is the balance.

Consequences Of Conquest

by

Anne Strausser

The price of love's an expensive price.
It lingers still with many voices,
that embodies the frequent deadly vice.
Playing games of torture, malice,
it festers like a germ that kills all of your cells.
Sensoring only the weakest minds.
The ones that prove worthy of the deadliest kind.
Relying on the raptures of heart to lead to the final kill.
Because without accepting the grief it sickens the brain.
Where there's no real fill, limiting a preserving will.
Cancer of the heart, cancer of the mind,
destruction of mankind what's to remain.
Why does everyone care more of financial gain.
instead of the evils of the insane.
It's a mad, mad, world with costly choices.

Learn To Handle The Heat

by

Anne Strausser

Try turning to someones' loving arms instead of turning to drugs.
And if you have none reliavle just give yourself a supporting hug.
We all have the worst or even the best pain to deal with.
Learn to be selective when it comes to friends, when
you decide to call apon them be certain they won't let you down.
In times of crisis will always stay around.
Seek your very best to stand firmly on your feet.
becoming a pawn to someones shady dealings will
certainly push you apon the hotseat.
What does it take for someone to believe in themself.
Alot of struggling and day by day learing to
try and defeat the odds.
Some do it better than others,
but we all need to succeed the heat.
Although it's more difficult, if you accept defeat.
LEARN TO BELIEVE IN YOURSELF,
NOT JUST TODAY BUT EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK

Love never has a compromise.
with such torment from the tears she crys.
I remember seeing her rejoice
in dance in the meadows celebrating
that she's alive.
She loves to watch as the animals
frolic in play.
She carries this burden,
but it's gone wiht yesterday.
Such a marvel a real nature girl,
always giving life a chance.
Never to be sorrowed by someones' lies.
And living in paradise happy and free
she always tries.
knowing that there's a place a special meadow
where the air is clean,
people are seldom mean.
friendships you can rely.
even in a wayword home.
dancing in this meadow,
she learns from the image in the sky.
love is a constant, even with a broken wing.
It's the real hope in life and no inbetween.

untitled

by

Anne Strausser

As a women, look into my heart,
gain an understanding of my mind.
Realize that a women is a very
important part of mankind.
But don't bring me to shame,
by the vanity of my looks.
Because no-one can really gain
a total understanding by the cover of a book.
Never assume that a glimpse of skin
or a pretty face,
is just an overt exploit with no disgrace.
Respect the gift of a total woman inside.
If you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen.
Or in this case swallow your pride.
A women is all that the greatness life's about.
Don't exploit the race,
hear a clear shout.
Just think of a piece of art,
it's to be treasured and inspired,
also the artist should be admired.
Not to be degraded and tore apart.

Loves door

by

Anne Strausser

Why has the world so easily become a sex marketing place.
Selling and giving,
of sexual bodies with no disgrace.
The body was once a temple of love.
now it's a battle to stay chaste.
When there's a purpose of our life
But the world only views the bedroom door
it seems a waiste.
I WOULD RATHER WAIT FOR LOVE.
THAN TO GIVE MYSELF IN HASTE.
I guess it depends,
on the happiness in the chase.

Chosen Doors

by

Anne Strausser

Oh, Holy Chosen City Israel don't cry no more.
As death and exile and blood thrashes
at your door.
For peace is the calling,
and is your destiny to implore.
God does love you oh chosen city,
as does the world as sin strips
the fibers.
but not the grains this you can be sure.
Just remember as war calls apon the living.
Your chosen spirit and perseverance
is the liberty in giving.
oh holy city of israel,
please when death drains life in war.
KNow you have the power,
apon the grails floor.
please, please, don't kill your people anymore.

Free Thinkers dedication

by

Anne Strausser

I never understand an athiest frame of mind.
Free thinkers, they don't want to answer to a god.
well, I guess free thinkers are quite
narrow minded and living in smog.
The big bang theory is why the world exist.
With such inspiation in this world,
But they won't acknowledge a god,
Plato, aristotle, they live their life as frogs.
God is the premise, The only hope in
the world, such love he gave his only son.

But still people continue to run.
They're having to much fun.
Life isn't all about fun,
it's about how your soul is won.
I'd rather give thanks to god,
and walk in his way.
Be thankful in him and try to pray.
Because if you refuse him he cOUld rebuke you.
But his love is never ending so I pity you.
You refuse to answer to a god.
you'd rather live in the smog.
satan will get your soul,
Is your life yet still out of control?
He's your greatest friend in a dark hour.
Even still running, just invoke his name.
If you have no faith,
you'll bounce off the wall in pain.
Did a friend stab you in the back?
Trust in him,
He's THE TRUTH, and he's everywhere your at.
I know you'd rather live in smog,
live on a lily pad.
I hope you can swim,
or that you don't drown.
Because, he's the hope for your pain.
he's the home for your soul.
After all isn't life really about
the good in your soul.
I'd get away from that smog,
before it sufficates you.
I dedicate god's love to you.

Society's Suspect

by

Anne Strausser

A worthless criminal is not what I am.
Just an individual who needs a helping hand.
A visible reminder of his fellow man.

So clothe me in a ball and chain.

I'm my own prisoner thou,
until someone longs to hear,
what my conviction is saying that's how I'll remain.

While some walk free in life,
and show no partiality or integrity towards others.
Some peoples' fate are to walk with a ball and chain.
Conviently labled the legally insane.

Friendship Dance

by

Anne Strausser

This is dedicated to all the friendships I never got to achieve.

A worthy heart discerned within a glance.
Shall pass in unwritten time
a friendship with no words,
but in meanings, seem to have been robbed a chance.
For the writter of time has scripted
each waltz and heavy chanceable burdened circumstance.
But you take the good within the bad
and scribe your life to all the heavy tides.
Life can be romantic,
if you love within and without,
even a willful dance.
So flow with life and take to heart
the meaning of love and make a stance.
By and By every grief that passes by,
make it a victory written in the sky.
love god don't ask why.
he's the reason of everything,
good and gives his love that you should apply.

Humble Foot

by

Anne Strausser

Always remember to lend a helping hand.
Have you ever exsperienced a lasting impression.
Of someone homeless and on the street.
If it were possible to partake,
a mile in someone's shoes.
And accept if any of lifes chanceable defeat.
Or has vanity been the lining of your easy chair.
Why in a world of deprived values, certain people,
don't understand in the world of humanity
they should care.
Without a shread of compassion,
all integrity of our own humanity will retreat.
I guess humility is a bolder stone to be cast.
Towards the most humble of feet

Everlasting LOve

by

Anne Strausser

Loves slender alms of giving.
Seems to ponder the sholder,
of restless hours of forgiving.
It can forfeit happiness,
in the times of deciept.
BUt without such an example.
The glory wouldn't be a golden treasure to keep.
Love does one thing savagely,
it can boldly make a THIEF OF A GOODMAN.
Just to cradle the joy,
of a everlasting mutual heart.
Even just a subtle glimpse,
of infinity makes an admiration start.
While there's those whom STEAL FOR LOVE,
CONCEAL FOR LOVE,
THE ONE AND PERFECT IDEAL LOVE.
IS THE PUREST AND MOST ENDURING LOVE.
The one that makes your life worth living.
Live in love today,
AND YOU WON'T REGRET THE SELFISHNESS OF YESTERDAY.

Valor Of The Sky

by

Anne Strausser

Theeagle soars the distant sky.
As admiration follows in dwelling eyes.
A deliberate course substained,
by strong natured wings.
This eagle has its flight in view.
Perseverance if embarked on a human
sees the plan of flight.
But living solely by the plan,
is never the real admiration of a hero.
It's the grace in learning to fly.
And keeping all chances, advances,
and crashes in sight.
For the real hero soars like the eagle.
Full of purpose high on dreams.
And willing to submit to scrutiny.
I guess it's really the flow of wind.
And if you have a song to sing.

Dreams

by

Anne Strausser

You close your eyes to fill dreams.
And no matter how funny it seems.
You realize it was reality that made you open your eyes.
Than you look up into the blue sky and notice.
You had your dream all along it's your faith
that makes you go on.

Untitled

by

Anne Strausser

If someone tries to make,
you an enemy what should you do.
JUst subtlely turn your back,
and shed a tear or too,
Remaining good natured is the best for your sake.
It can be difficult,
people judging you,
and not caring of your dimeanor.
But if you rely on your personal strength.
Their insults, slander, and contempts.
WIth strength makes anything easy to take.
BUt one thing worse is someone
who gives the impression of your friend.
The two faced kind where there perfect,
and their sincerity is fake.
Keep a hope in your heart,
One day the world will be yours
with no mistake.
You need to be cautious,
to be openminded even with hipocrits.
LIfe is full of gardens pick your
daisies wisely with no breaks.

No place for Hate

by

Anne Strausser

The strength of a coward is visibly seen.
When self denial of self hatred is turned insideout.
Hatred of a person by a established group.
Just lacks the power of a voice for your scoup.
Life isn't for hatred that's not what it's about.
It's about brotherhood, it's about dignity,
and its about walking through life,
with a diversified friendship.
So your tactics, hatred, and brutality,
is what your life's about being dirty and mean.
Just think of the people that you destroy.
It's not just a racial tone, it's every woman, man,
girl, and boy.
So if you think your crowd is for survival of a race.
You better change the picture of the face.
This world is for champions of the frienship place.
SO you're losing remarkable in last place.

SteppingStones

by

Anne Strausser

Come tread on still waters.
Place your feet firmly on my stone.
Cast your wishes onto the shores.
Deep down our thoughts are similar,
with unique and desperte needs.
What will your wish be,
Will it bring us closer,
Step on another stone.
If you can cast off the shadowsof ignorance
and selfishness.
Accept if even just parts of me,
for a part is important.
So your acceptance of any weakness and differance.
If you truely will linger and love me.
I'll no longer be alone.
So take a tiny step, think about it first,
If you're ready leap to the next stone.
I'll toss a penny heads or tales.
This is a test I don't want you to fail.
Because when you make that leap you could miss the stone.
And miss the chance of a friendship that could of grown.
After all we're all just stepping stones.

Bargaining Game

by

Anne Strausser

To some peoples' life's a bargaining game.
They live on borrowed time.
Never putting strong emphasis on anyting is a shame.
Thinking they're unworthy of love is lame.
Because of a conflict that caused a stain.
When the meaning of ones existance is weak
it's difficult to remain sain.
But never allowing true love to grasp their life
only they;re to blame.
So instead of sunshine and rainbows
they're life gets rain.
Thou greed will take their spirit only so far.
The false luxury of material possessions
and human degregation.
Is the cruelest and most dangerous attempt.
When they don't know how to cry.
The depth of irony is, the contagiousness'
of loneliness is leading themto die.
when love does exist you still have to wonder why.

DewDrops

by

Anne Strausser

The moisture of the dew drops caressingly
embraced the stems of that willow tree.

Than the drops began to crash to the ground.

And pounds my mind and traces my body.
As I lay limp wiht bitter memories of you.

The Candle

by

Anne Strausser

Life's like a candle.
To be burned in all it's glory.
But to get a strong impact that you can handle.
The light shines forth as a sign and won't resign to personal scandal.
As the candle's wax melts away,
so be the hours of your life.
If only to live by the flickering light.
You'll have clear sight,
But burning the candle at both ends.
Is burning away where the darkness holds bright.
Light the candle, but not just for the darkness ofnight.
Let the flame burn,
Let the flame burn.
Maybe the hours of your life will earn a stay.

Beauty Of You

by

Anne Strausser

My love or you blooms like flowers on a rainy day.
You're the beauty of a sunrise.
And a cool pleasant breeze by the bay.
You're the virtue of my life.
You make me strong to take disappointments in strife.
You're the blood that runs through my veins.
The reason I cry when I hear your name.

Money, Money, Money

by

Anne Strausser

Why only a privledged few,
live their lives in riches,
and forget about evrything important they ever knew.
Glamorizing one's own life,
as a centrpiece of uppre lass clout.
Stampedes and devours those indoubt.
Thinking the world's only the rich people's oyster,
Is what the poor can do without.
Just remember what's here today,
could be gone yesterday.
So lend a helping hand.
Because the shoe could be on the other foot.
After all money can't buy love's waht they say.
Being generous is a much more refined look.

Pier Pressure

by

Anne Strausser

Pier pressure might be hard,
your best friend wants to be part of the crowd.
Thinking its cool to be with the rude and loud.
They walk around with theri head in the cloud.
Such an attitude they wear such a shroud.
Enjoying the bulley look.
Maybe for them but shouldn't you keep
your eyes in those book.
They'll have no future,
live their life like a crook.
But they might admire you if you
be defined and wish they followed the road you took.
Regret is not just for the abnoxious and loud.
So don't be pressured by your piers.
Your the king and they're the rook.
Still be a friend thou,
with every hope faith and hook.
When they are trying to be that cool fool.
Let yours be the first reliable friend
who's advisable head shook.

Sundance Clouds

by

Anne Strausser

Hope is a sundance dreampt in the clouds.
Dreams are the lining of the weak and the proud.
follow your dreams don't surrender it's place.
even if just dancing thoughts in the middle of the night.
You can carry the conviction within your reach.
Within your reach and fingertips,
happiness and love will follow the trace.
DOn't give up even in dreams,
because life can be turned into a daymare.
If you have a lack of confidence,
cut yourself some slack.
Look into your alterego there maybe a spare.
But you need to discover above the clouds.
There maybe the one to care.
Only you can decide to let in the clouds.
And your rebirth and confidence is your spare.
Look to the sun, open your soul,
but you need to be the ultimate to care.
SO where there's darkness,
change the focus every cloud has a silver lining.
just reach for it thre's enough to share.

Let the condemed live

by

Anne Strausser

To me one should live their life by convictions.
Live openly and be willing to fogive.
ALso let a book of code be your guide.
Please let the condemed live,
just consider the willingness to forgive.
Adjusting to life,
is hard for some,
when the times were down and no-one was around.
But the facts won't change the reality
of them in your eyes.
But the darkness in their reality has no disquise.
look deeply within your soul,
would you really be happy
with vengeance as your main goal.
humanity can turn bleak,
actions suddenly out of control.
WhaT's the differance of them and you.
you lived your life in prosperity,
even throgh the rain, with little or no pain.
I suppose that gives you a better view.
While I condemed to death,
live my life in humanity test.
but putting me to death, the world won't forget.
because life, in vengeance,
with murder even in govermntal rules.
Is death with no gest.
A life is a life precious and tested by ytime.
Murder is murder,
in the death penalty its intentional slaughter.
With no moral design

BrokenHearted

by

Anne Strausser

Darkness slowly evades the brightest of light.
as love provides but constant heartache
ensures a fight.
The darkness can smother your soul.
But you need to take heed,
always nuture your heartache with all your might.
Because only a truly disconteted,
festered person,
would pride, over the salt of tears you cried.
Really, it's about what they lack.
A personal tyranny,
lack of empathy,
and proven intelligence in tact.
When one causes another heartache,
they have no prudence,
no respect,
no pride,
no worldly doctrine,
just self betrayal that's a fact.
Those whom create broken hearts
take love for granite.
Those whom survive brokenhearts,
are the light.

hearing the word no.

by

Anne Strausser

Why in a relationship do men not understand when a women says no. That it's intrusian on her humanity,
and that's no place to go.
Assault is not a harmless place.
When there's lack of human rights,
compassion is an avoided place.
Just look at the pain on a womens face,
it's not just a minute of your pursuit.
for life scared a women shouldn't have to carry a can of mace.
Men think, it's always their place.
To pursue a women, and then cripple her life.
in words you can understand when a women says no
that's what it means.
In plain and simple words,
you do the crime be prepared to do the time.
a man doesn't pressure a women,
or take him into his control,
and when you ignore her words,
betray her life,
place your unwanted hands,
onto her that's just not right.
If sex is on your mind,
and she's not a consenting partner,
if she's not of willing age,
it's not just an act of sex,
its aggression to the volitile of point.
if you commit the crime be prepared to do the time.
Because once you initiate that assault,
it's her life that will be on the line.
when you walk around thinking of your score.
the victim will be all but fine.
so when you have sex,
instead of using your flesh use your mind.
That way you have respect and nothings left behind.

I've always admired those whom walk on sunshine.
And deplored those who walk with an attitude
of self rightousness.
They think the world is owed to them.
It doesn't matter who's a deserving friend.
Thinking they walk with a stride.
WIth such arrogance they should hide.
I'll tell you In my life,
I've met a friend or two,
Most of them I've had a beating,
but still consider a friend.
BUt one of these people that has
a halo of attitude he's really a walking fool.
He really needs to cash in the diploma he got at school.
Because in him I see no man.
And I try to see the things with a smile.
Never with such a gross attitude,
similar to another I know.
with a structure like that,
only a fate of hatred will grow.
Try to wish for the best I can.
I just wish this person would understand,
what it really means to be a man.
i just wish this person had the knowledge of a man.
because fate works in circles.
it focuses on its own plan.
He like another I know in my life.
makes me glad I'm who I am.
and proud I'm not cashing in on money before mytime.
Because a cruel heart will only make
him broke and living on the unemployment line.

Meek and Meekless

by

Anne Strausser

Lord let me grasp the strength to climb the highest mountain.
I've forseen the ability to walk.
Following the need to quench my thirst
with the water from any fountain.
With the sight I behold,
not only to focus on the beauty.
But to overcome and tackle the beast.
Using my insights wisely to judge fairly
the good from the evil.
Knowing when to be humble,
accepting everyone for what they are
regarless of sex, creed, or handicap
These traits make you special.
I say if a person has a handicap,
don't judge him solely on this.
Because they're alot wiser than you.
DOn't be cruel because of a persons race.
For their heart's in the right place.
This world would be a much brighter place.
If people would learn to love and not judge.

The EArth

by

Anne Strausser

Amethyset sky against the harvest moon.
Such brilliance captivates a warmth of delight
sought for the month of june.
UNiforms of silence towards the arrested stars.
Such inspiration is ours.
To focus around the clouds,
makes you think outloud.
Sketching the beauty of the earth,
and the solitudes of the world.
The foundations of your life,
you proficiently hurdled.
As you dream, imagine above the stars.
ANd there's one think you need to say out.
It's what life's all about.
I appreciate my life, the world I live about.
Even thou the things that are currently viewed
and percieved arn't pleasing to the sight.
If reality didn't show impossibility
to make things right.
With peace and harmony
and no desire what so ever to fight.

The gossip

by

Anne Strausser

My mother tucked me well into my youth.
The wonderful person i am today is proof.
But I'll tell you I made my share
of bad seeded friends.
Years of drugery made quite a spoof.
i'll tell you clearly what I learned.
You always turn the other cheek even when your burned.
Always look the other way,
and remember god is over sholder today and everyday.
My mother tucked me well into my youth.
Keep your head held high,
even when ignoraance, and gossip, passes by.
The wonderful person I am today.
Be the best person you are inside.
even through it all let your spirit transend.
If you're a subject of gossip,
it will catch up to them.
Remeber to always hold your head high.
Even when someone makes you want to cry.
Because those who gossip,
has no reflection of life,
and nothing to offer,
and nothing to offer,
and nothing to offer,
and nothing to offer,
that's all I'm gonna say.

You Count

by

Anne Strausser

If there ever came a time,
that you thought no-one could hear the pain in your heart.
And that your prescence in this world
didn't count.
Tears apon tears, with the abandond silence no-one hears.
Such struggles enough to tear your world apart.
You feel like you lost your way,
wondering where the peace has gone from yesterday.
There none reliable not one friend.
the madness in your world seems too twist and bend.
If you feel you lost your way,
and you life really doesn't count.
find yourself again,
even through the burden of a lack of friends.
change your point of view from this very start.
love yourself, make your life mount.
because even through all the pain.
even through all the sorrow.
The world wouldn't be the same if you were gone tommorrow.
Of course your life does count.
So never go to the point of no return.
even with a broken heart.

The Gift Of Love

by

Anne Strausser

The gift of love, recognized more for valentines day.
with all of it' intentions and demeanors
should be fealt months or more away.
shometimes love wiht all of its folly isn't always so jolly.
when you hold the gift in the palm in your hand.
then a lover suddenly gone astray.
with my whole world lost with no guidance
turned bleak and grey.
do you possess the gift of love,
brighten someones' day.
but please be aware it's not a game to play.
cpmsoder how the value of love,
has lost its strength in the words we say.
cherish the gift of love.

Golden Days

by

Anne Strausser

Strolling down a rugged path
designed for horsed buggies to wonder just as fast.
cottages with wishing wells,
white picked fences, with gold plated bells.
classic cars with rumble seats.
country taverns for friendly people to greet.

Be Yourself

by

Anne Strausser

If someone has a personal hinderance,
towards you, and treats you as you don't exist.
Just remember to love yourself,
even while their hatred persisit.
If they hate you because of who you love.
You need to live with your choice,
when push comes to shove.
In such a liberal world,
where the design has always been free love.
Although love is mighty and has always been free.
teh design was meant for the most of you and me.
but if you question who you love as a mate.
worried about the views in the world,
don't let you choice turn to hate.
Hopefully what ever partner you're with now.
is the right partner even when you attempt to make that vow
So even with a world high in judgements,
high in extremes, and high in prejudice.
best of wishes with your choice of who you love.

Hourglass

by

Anne Strausser

The world sits in silence.
Yet to be inspired to it's full purpose.
As tears float the abandoned reigns of hope.
Does one really know of its past destiny.
CAn any provide the excuse,
and live in a willful truce.
yet so young,
to be cast out to tide.
As truth will provide.
In the shadows love does wait.
And it hammers apon the iron gate.

preferances

by

Anne Strausser

They claim that being homosexual is a disease.
LIke living with all the sterotypes,
prejudice, and bashings are a breeze.
And simplicity to love each of the same
is never easy to appease.
While some sweep under the carpet,
the snares, and ordinary life rituals
for some, but a cruel denial of love,
within these mirages makes a person want to sneeze.
Finding a love sincere is never easy to please.
So squashing someones preferance,
and bashing their human rights,
from someone they're just a plain sneeze.
So walk in someone else shoes,
segregation is illegal or havn't you got the news.

secret love

by

Anne Strausser

Sneaking away in the break of day,
or in the midst of night.
To meet the perfect love that
makes you feel so deserving alive.
The lover in the break of day,
is really a rented love,
a contrite sabatorer is what i can say.
you don't get the clue as your friends sneer
and look the other way.
not to mention the break of hearts,
if not evident now will start.
just think of the perfect love,
that says your the only love of his life
than vividly he lied.
living in this dilema slowly strips your pride.
not to mention the bitterness and shame
from the tears you cried.
the best of love is not meant to hide.
while some are sincere,
walk in a straight path,
you wonder what went wrong,
renting this lover,
you deserve more,
but still in delusion the high,
but you can never run from truth,
even if it makes you numb,
and truely happy,
that can't be denied.
there's a perfect mate somewhere in the world.
try not to pick a lover that will make you deplored

The in crowd

by

Anne Strausser

Some people claim the high life is where it's at.
While some indulge in such roulette,
they offer no responsibility of themsleves,
and cater to the downfall of those wanting to belong
that's a mind blowing fact.
some would rather follow the crowd,
be "in the club"
living on the edge,
like the invinsible society is a bunch of crap.
if things get out of control, lose it focus,
with the cover of secretcy,
no responsibilty is a conveient edge
not just a gender gap.
too bad respect and intelligience
is a bridge of a lost lives,
with secrecy is a frightening track.
but still endeavor after endeavor
even with forfieted rules,
for the high club,
where respect for danger,
and disipline for life,
they will always lack.

The Village Idiot

by

Anne Strausser

I've always pitied the village idiot.
A rebel without a cause.
He never seems to get things of life straight.
WOndering if has if any a worthy trait.
While some know of their talents,
just to find one that would cheer his face
that would be great.
But instead jealously of other accomplishments
is slowly turning to hate.
He becomes jealous about the jones next door.
Withe their mersades benz i wonder what for.
You can never really tell of the true demeanor
of the man next door.
He has his faults of that i'm very sure.
SO instead of subtle jealousy,
looking for his purpose,
that he will implore,
and the vain collectibles of others he will try to ignore.
A rebel without a cause.
Just a simple attemtp to get things in his
life right he need an applause.
Even if he's marked the village idiot,
he has some worthiness this he says what for.
beating himself on the head,
still worried about the guy next door.
His pride is now killing him inside.
as he hangs out at the local bar.
willing to lose everything,
that attempt won't be far.
He's up til now kept his head on straight.
BUt his heart's in a jar.
The village idiot,
really the rebel without a cause.
If he can have one wish of worthiness,
he'll rely on the shooting star.
Now instead of the rebel without a cause.
He realizes he really has a cause.
Finally realizing this he needs an applause.

Family Betrayal

by

Anne Strausser

In a serious frame of sickness,
when an adult abuses a child.
Stripping them of a life,
of richness, freedom, and trust,
And the dignity of family love,
the outcome is anything for the survivor but mild.
While it's not only the burden of the family.
But sometimes a stranger,
with such an evil,
to sabatoge an innocent life,
with extreme ludeness, undefiled.
And none can reach the denial,
or breakdown from such actions
as adjusting ones life, with untamed fears,
that has greatly piled.
For god sake protect your child.
Because the breakdown will be anything but mild.
If you consider years of torment,
as a comparison to your childs carefree life.
I realize that the denial will take the tone.
Where your perception could be anthing but nice.
SO please when your thing of the gift of your child.
And suddenly a frame of mind,
turns to a place of fits.
JUst don't let it cross the line,
into a rage of hits.
Because life can suddenly fall into
an unaltered mesh of bits.
Also advice wisely,
never an intimidating tone.
Because your child will be
thinking in the world they are all alone.
Just remember how fast the memories have grown.
And even in caos,
the devotion has really shown.
Never I mean never
make your family even in haste feel
the sudden stress within their bone.
And stripping the fibers of the home.
But more important,
remember to make them safe,
Because a waiting stranger,
with the timely risk,
will take the world of a childs innocence.
And leave her world in the cold abbiss.
Your love has to be the shelter,
that has a impressive mist.
Just remember it's not the power,
or lthe assault but the destrucion that really hits

Unmatched Love

by

Anne Strausser

I remember way back in 1962 the years
so strong and I'd still be loving you.
But the years to my life,
still had not start,
but if fate would teach me in dreams to prepare my heart.
Some destiny's past and finally I did meet you.
And the joy in my heart really grew.
For I somehow knew even in the time of my life.
I'd still be loving you.
AS the heavens touched the stars,
the greatest of love would be ours.
But still my destiny unmatched,
as life ddrifts apart.
I'd still fall in love with you again sweetheart.

objective neighbors

by

Anne Strausser

Love thy neighbor as thy self.
The meanings are for the brotherhood of love.
But some people prefer to live but not let live.
With the wall of self rightousness,
but unwilling to really learn to give.
Love thy neighbor as thyself.
Is the greatest of life is a worthy friend
and the chances should be applied.
For those who have a gentle side,
thus is so, some people just rather,
give a heave and a hoe, think only of themselves.
And not of anyone else.
They live their life, for others to see.
But to me the mean hearted should be
visible don't you agree.
Thou shalt not bare false witness against thy neighbor.
living in gossip is some peoples way.
not living with truth in the words they say.
Some would rather say a mean word.
Not care of the offense to be overheard.
To me it's a trail, not yet walked.
To walk away in shame as lies the people talked.
But just live your life the best you can.
Because you were meant to walk this land.
If those people choose to insult you.
You're the better,
walk with pride,
your sincerity won't be denied.
So just remember to love thy neighbor as thyself.
even if they live their life gleary and on the shelf.
Never bare false witness against thy neighbor they're toils
is your labor.
Also, turn to god, he's the real saver.

Dance in the sun.

by

Anne Strausser

The sunshine dances on harmonys wings.
With the smile of hope
of everything challenging life brings.
Some dance by moonlight,
but I'd rather dance by the son.
By a rapture of music,
lifting my spirit to all its fun.
under the sun, the birds eclipse in play.
and you hear shouts of joy,
and mourns of sorrow,
through the burdens and escalades of someones day.
So instead of dancing under the moonlight
dance under the sun,
even through the perge of death,
even through the pouts of war,
even through cheating hearts,
and the tears from someone once happy before.
One thing is for sure,
If you let the sun smile on your heart.
you'll have a a memorable fling.

Untitled

by

Anne Strausser

Don't frown on yesterdays mistakes.
Because the promise of tommorrow is yours to take.
If you drown your life in self pity.
Than today held no lesson,
And you won't handle,
the lesson of life,
forfeiting what can make you great.
The sucess in life only you can make.
So implore yesterday,
and hope for tommorrow,
don't live in regrets,
because your life will be forsaked.
No matter what was wrong in your world yesterday.
You can live in success today.
I'm sure that you reallywouldn't want it any other way.

Best Of Sisters

by

Anne Strausser

If we were the best of sisters,
would that make us the best of friends.
When someone wrongs me,
makes a shadow of my life will your love always defend.
And if years make a challenge of our life.
Pride and rivaled confusion,
makes it difficult for us to be tight.
still within the rivalry,
still within the doubt,
could it be possible to make an amends.
If we were to be the best of sisters
would that make us the best of friends.
Had someone ask me if I were secure.
And walked in acceptance and sisterly love.
I'd say when.
But through all the years of distance.
ALl the space in time.
I still wonder if it were gods destiny.
IN this world you would be a friend of mine.
If it were important to me,
for you to understand,
not just of the past reflections of my life.
but of the person I am.
I had walked well in my shoes.
But never having known first you need
to stand before you can walk.
Maybe the memorie of the freedom
in our childhood, makes it nimble to talk.
I will never remember,
Because you had forgot.
One things for sure,
I will be all but fine.'
Because we still havn't achieved the
best of sisters, nor the best of friends.

AlwAYS TRY TO BRIGHTEN SOMEONES' DAY.
AND WHEN YOU EXCHANGE WORDS
MAKE SURE THEY'RE GENTLE AS CAN SAY.
BECAUSE YOU NEED TO ALWAYS BE KIND.
SO PEOPLE RUSHED IN THE TWILIGHT OF THEIR DAY.
NOT ALWAYS REPECTFUL,
SOMETIMES NOT EVEN TO YOURSELF.
SO REMEMBER TO ALWAYS OFFER A CHERRY LINE,
THAT WAY WHEN YOU SPEAK YOU HAVE PEACE OF MIND.

fasttrack

by

Anne Strausser

Sometimes, finding success
is like finding a needle in a haystack.
Working long tedious hours,
only to find happiness is not where
this job will ever be at.
poor pay, overdemanding bosses,
hostile employees is brutal at fact.
but to some they'd trade a happy job
for a gross of money.
while the others rather be happy and poor.
either way, when the profits don't pay,
suddenly a dedicatedprosperous worker gets the axe.
working for peanuts isn't funny,
nor is wwalking around with the look
as the boss's honey.
I guess in life where the world is
limited on time, and gross on money.
it's good not to live on the fast track.
?

One Summers' NIght

by

Anne Strausser

It had happened one summer night.
SInce then there's been a tremendous
fight apon life.
Such a devestated startle upon
such a beautiful person.
The destruction follows,
as such hope and promise and intelligience.
witnessing the painful leftovers.
with such perseverance
but still life hollows.
this fight just isn't right.
once living within the light.
now darkness shadows,
with intentional drugery,
making things a bitter fight.
as the interception of fate,
dangles a life.
when someone tries to cross the line.
forcing their will against yours and mine.
makes a person wish that there life is tucked in tight.

No Time to hate

by

Anne Strausser

There's no time in this world for hate.
It still ponders me why some
people need to target and destoy
by an individual race.
There's no time in this world for hate.
Does it really matter about the tone of a persons face.
Still hatred grows,
Still crimes flow.
The people with such discrimination
and notions should feel disgrace.
There's no time in this world for hate.
Even with bitterness in a persons' life.
Even if they don't yet walk with god.
Even with the personal trudgery they walk.
and they have a need to belong.
in every beat of your heart.
even if there's a trace of hate.
Stop judging and hating people it's not a good place.

memorial day

by

Anne Strausser

On this memorial day, as we honor
those that sacrificed their lives in the war.
And the loss of loved ones,
who was our pride.
How is the denial offered,
for every man women and child.
With the acceptance of every loss,
there's still no easy way to survive.
It's a great dedication
this memorial day.
with the gathering of hearts.
it makes it easy for us to thrive.
and have compassion and gratitude
for all the hours and the people
who deserve respect and are alive.

play

by

Anne Strausser

Everyone wants to be a star.
Yet unrehearsed their life is a play.
acting in the drama of their lives.
hoping for a balance for today.
wishing they could be famous a real star.
but if you be on the level
and thrive for the purpose and live
with intentions every day.
a star is what you are.
bright, full of imagination,
having a stride,
walking with purpose,
so you may not get millions for your lifes play.
but only you can live the lines.
and have fun like a professional mime.

Handprints

by

Anne Strausser

We decorate the world with our handprints.
The handprints represent the scope of our lives.
For each print we share,
shows someone how much we care.
We raise our hands as a gesture of the tongue.
to shake someones hand says I'd like
to share your day.
and is quite suitable if you have no words to says.
some share handprints in differant ways.
the artist and his canvas
shows gift of the mind.
wtih the sculpture of his design.
the poet shows a more conversational print.
lending of his dreams,
and hoping the audience,
will help mortalize the hint.
some offer handshakes of teamspirt.
with the vocal points for the world to hear it.
some bind hands behind bars,
to help sanction the worlds fears.
with less compassion,
just more hostility to border,
the souls tortured years.
while parents show the kids
how much they care with a suttle spank on the rear.
than there's those who drown
their foes in beers
some in good companion to celebrate
with their piers.
there's a multitude of handprints within
the world.
some speak of triumph,
others speak of disaster,
still the generations speak the loudest print.
one that reminds us we're part of mankind.

friendship moon

by

Anne Strausser

The midnight cresent sky,
seduces the palest of moon.
With carpets of dazling stars dancing
a scipture of tune.
Within the chosen writings of the stars.
Only a rapture of heart follows the song
of the skys.
But the harmony doesn't salute to jupiter or mars.
The music is much more vivid
and blankets the dullest of a soul.
COmforting a lonely heart,
is our life keepers goal.
SSsso when the shooting stars,
pass by, take the blinding and binding
lint out of your eye.
There's alot of lives under the stars,
put the music in your heart.
Love is the little dipper
YOur neighbor is the big dipper
The shooting star is the place of friendship

Cells for SAle

by

Anne Strausser

They speak in this world of making clones.
Last I knew life's was precious.
Even with somehting as enique and awsome as a cell.
But I forgot in this world thye
run rampant have no affection
or inspiration with the divine soul.
To much freedom inlife they prefer to look to hell.
To think of the gift of life.
BUt now mad scientist,
free thinkers,
they walk in the new world order.
where divinity is gone.
Life is a luxury, drained of it's destiny with god.
With the thinking scientist.
the body was meant to sell.
they want the world to go to hell.
And with the fact the world does have its
order and destiny in place.
destruction looming high anything
but heaven you couldn't tell.
When they speak of the new world order.
to bad they don't inquire of love.
they don't speak of world peace.
of the order it had once.
But still these mad scientist loom.
with support of the president.
saying they can use our babys cells.
I quess clearly the world is headed for doom.
straight to hell.
but then again no-one can really tell.

Have you ever payed the price,
for someone else wrong inyour life.
Daily wondering why your life took such a sharp turn.
When you were joyful in life,
then suddenly you get burned.
You always follow the rules,
kept an open mind and heartfully kind.
Even had a strong place with god.
than your life for destiny is altered.
it's only wisdom that keeps your heart
free you learned.
even if someone severely devestates your life.
and places an undue daily burden.
You always need to forgive,
Even if it's hard to reach the
same level of happiness when you first
started to live.
some people don't deserve the forgiveness.
but only you can prosper from
the gift of a willfull peaceful soul.
so anyone that wronged me in my life.
I forgive you at a gracious price.

Sake of LOve

by

Anne Strausser

All for the sake of love,
I would offer my heart.
All for the sake of love,
I would cherish loving you,
even if you tore my heart apart.
All for the sake of love,
I would offer my blood,
WIth the purest of intentions,
but you just looked apon me and shrugged.
All for the sake of love.
I would endure all for you,
Just to fell the warmth within your hug.
All for the sake of love,
I would name the stars apon the sky.
All for the sake of love,
I would bring the world to you.
All for the sake of love,
I forgot all about me.
FOr I've given you my world and you
made a fool out of me.
With all of love,
I'd do anything for you.
BUt that doesn't mean I should
loose everything to you,
that makes me wonder why.
When you love someone,
and you get a punch in the eye.

Life's Mountain

by

Anne Strausser

Over the moutains of life god will be there.
If you have no other he will care.
He doesn't ask for much just your time to spare
The temptations in this world,
walk with the trials of tommorrow be aware.
So if you think your voice doesn't count,
if you speak with convictions,
the whole world will reap what you share.
But remember if you don't stand your ground
life can be turned into a nightmare.
Even with the multitude of failures,
that the world spits around,
follow in god's voice,
whenever you make your life choice.
you will always in him be safe and sound.

Accept Me

by

Anne Strausser

I'd like to unlock the door to my existance.
And give you this golden key,
but you need to be devoted, kind and
willing to accept all of me.
For my love is true.
But my life is like an hourglass,
running out of time fast.
In need of a real love to last.
The colors of my rainbow were meant for you.
The consistency of it's shades,
remains an open door.
Once inside you'll find eternal love forever more.

you not myself

by

Anne Strausser

daily at dawn I watch the sunrise
intensively through the sky.
I'd anticipatingly watch realizing
the power that comes from the rays.
as if waiting a question of reply.
grasping the power of the days,
blindness overcomes you.
but this beauty I admire
so i'll let my inspiration teach you.
all the good in this world,
I'd daily seek ti,
strive for it everyday,
awaiting for the good hearted to come forward.
but my heart just won't gain the reward.
so i'll let my mind captivate it and share it with you.
I never become jealous over the rich,
nor do I seek the goods.
I'd rather be rich in spirit than in goods.
so I'll build my spirit and let it shine on you.
everything that I've been blessed
with I will shower over you.
If I can give you important values,
and a strong heart it's worth the effort.

The framed ONe

by

Anne Strausser

I saw my best friends life,
being stripped away.
A good person, nobel and kind.
But the victor of a deadly deception
he could barely relish the unspoken words to say.
watching as all gather in line.
they swarm like locusts to suck the
blood from within life.
why still the weight is upon her
she wonders still today.
she could barely relish the unspoken words to say.
they swarm like locusts,
the purpose to drain a worthy life.
but still she remains,
a determined one.
while some like being seduced with deception.
and wish she wouldn't stay.
she still looks on the other way.
she could barely relish the unspoken words to say.
a worthy life framed,
they swarm like locusts,
but she still to nobel and won't go down that way.
she
she'd rather be on the straight line,
and not give in to the deadly games they play.

global warming

by

Anne Strausser

they speak of the climate temperature
being out of control.
like maybe within the earth ther's a giant hole.
the warmth in the ocean,
the ddrought in this land.
it's not global warming, or elneano,
it's god don't you understand.
the climate is changing,
because of the violence in this world.
the worlds gone mad,
it's living on her own time.
and answers to the masters plan.
the great one divine.
maybe one day the earth will plumet and explode.
but still you'll use another name.
you live your life on hyper mode.
maybe you should stop taking life for granite.
living it in vein.
relish all the nutrients of all the wheat and grain.
but please for all of intelligient sake.
don't give it a false name.
Will you toast to elneano of wine.
Or do you prefer a more vintaged kind.

Here's to elneano the ocean warmer.

School Years

by

Anne Strausser

As the year comes to an end,
for many of a school.
So embarks the new nieve graduates,
who are yet naked of the world,
BUt expectations are planned,
and with only a sincere heart,
and eagerness to set their path,
of only a destination that parts from
a willing hand.
SOme will go to school, for jobs in demand.
while others are more contrite
and lay the luxury of their future with no plan.
They'll look back to the memories of a friend.
Or that harsh teacher that just didn't seen
to them to be cool.
WHile all the while they were cheering
for you and hoping you wouldn't
go down as the class fool.
I'm sure there's one thing they learned,
that the greatest thing learned,
isn't necessarily from a book.
But from the expectation of being the best.
isn't from a diploma or degree it's
the important treasure in the middle of your chest.
SO goodluck to the class of 2002
The world welcomes you.
may it be the brightest of your dreams.
And alot of loyal comrades to make them come true.

yipes nuclear war.

by

Anne Strausser

Today in the daily news,
I've read about the possible additional
casualties if the world broke out into
a nuclear war.
Still as the mounts of innocent bodies gather.
and the drained blood flows
like a crestinng riverwith no banks.
but still as women and children scream
and the channel of a loved one in between.
It seems like walking in a peaceful world
may never be seen
as the destruction of lives are embarked.
