My love for thee is strong and true
And how there's nothing I wouldn't do
To keep myself from once again
Losing all my time with you.

The time we spent was way back when
How I wish it still was then
But the marvelous gift of sight
Shows your beauty has no end

You were in my dream last night
And how your eyes glistened in the light
As I stared at them I could see for miles
And how we were for each other right.

How it has been such a while
Since I've seen your lovely smile
I feel as if my life's on trial
For its so depressing without your smile.
