cage

by

Solace

a cage
made of lies
surrounds me

can´t find the key
to unlock the door

the cruel lies
í´ve told
hold me down

keep me in

this coffin of myself

space void of air

by

Solace

I´m entering
A space void of air
Answering the question
If anyone was there

Tryin´ to follow the trace
Looming on the ground
In the coldness of dead space
Hoping to be found

Darkness makes me blind
I´m groping for the path
That you left behind

Severe wind throws me back
Depresses my wounded core
All my hopes begin to crack
To detect what I am seekin´ for

I´m fumbling for an evidence
That it didn´t lead me abstray
My wretched and slight life depends
On finding you someday

Desert

by

Solace

I walk through the gate
That keeps in this desert of myself

A fulgent oasis leads me out of space
Where my core´s withering to nemisis

I try to come out
_Out of this

Falls of senses float out
Soaked by the needs of mine
Tryin´ to wash away the fault
Tryin´ to undo the time

No shadows anymore
Of clouds promissing salvation
To feed my thirsty soul

But torn away
Left in unbearable temptation
To give up my sole goal

Exiting this burning jale
I overcome the border
Startin´ to forget this hell

A vision of hope
Saturates my hungry soul
Lets me breath
My essential well

It´s funny

by

Solace

It´s funny

I said:
I´ll disappoint you

You said:
You won´t

I said:
I disappoint everyone

You said:
You cannot disappoint me

Now, see...
You were wrong
and I was right

I´m always right

And this isn´t funny?

Reflection

by

Solace

Yesterday I saw a woman
Looking at herself in the mirror.

Distortet.
Reversed.
Colourless.
Transparent.
Dead.

She turned
And said:

What an ugly mirror.

Tell me

by

Solace

Tell me there´s something
to live for.

Open my eyes
for things
I was blind for.

Show me a world
I never knew.

Form my senses
for feelings
I thought died.

Let me hear
voices I forgot.

Change my mind.
Turn my thoughts.
Warm my heart.

Tell me there´s something
to die for.

awake

by

Solace

When I awake

I may feel

My breath
My warmth
And my heart
Someday

I may see the leaves falling down
And the clouds drifting away
Someday

I may hear the wind blowing
Through the branches
And the rain kissing
My window
Someday

I hope to awake like this
Someday

Or die this way
