The Elements Of Love

by

Evelyn Bell Smith

Pure words of love floating from my heart,
Will never completely do,
So I kissed you with a poem,
To show my love for you.

Amorous wings blessed by heaven's light,
Is as close as I can get,
To capture the elements of love,
Even inevitable after death.

Love envisioned dreams,
Ride upon the universe of time,
Passionate embraces caress the melody,
Of a love so sublime.

The whispering of our souls,
Expand through love's intensity,
Affirming the final blending,
For all eternity.

The echoes of our hearts,
Reverberate the horizon,
Traveling through time,
To a speed unknown.

Your Soul Lives On

by

Evelyn Bell Smith

Time has passed,
Since God took you from this earth,
My love for you I will cherish,
For all that it's worth.

My heart is at peace,
It gives me comfort to know,
That your essence is with me,
Wherever I go.

I ask you for guidance,
You show me the way,
Your soul is here with me,
Each and every day.

My heart feels no pain,
Only love for you,
No anger or grief,
For all that was due.

My life has been wonderful,
I have no regrets,
And when the time shall come,
I will finally embrace you in death.
But for right now,
Your soul lives on inside of me.

Children Of The Holocaust

by

Evelyn Bell Smith

Sunken young eyes,
Reflecting the pain,
Slowly dying in silence,
With so little to gain.

Starving and hungry,
No where to hide,
From the ones who controlled their world,
By their rules they must abide.

Distant laughter rarely heard,
No games to play,
Trying to survive through the hardships,
Of living day to day.

Did these innocent babies,
Deserve such a fate?
By the ones whose heart was filled,
With so much anger and hate?

I honor the little ones,
May God bless their souls,
The Chlidren of the Holocaust,
Who endured these brave roles.

Moon's Dreams

by

Evelyn Bell Smith

Your irridescent light,
Shines so passionately,
The capture of your existence,
Is always yet to be.

The stars grace your presence,
As they twinkle in the sky,
Your moonbeams spread the magic,
So that newborn dreams can fly.

Your mere being does affirm,
The velocity of the night,
Your beauty charms the darkness,
Until the morning light.

Dreams sink into the oblivion,
Of untouched horizons of love,
A mystical sight of eye pleasure,
Straight from God's heavens above.

God's Sunrise

by

Evelyn Bell Smith

The beautiful blending of colors,
Shown in life's array,
Amongst the premature skies,
Welcoming a brand new day.

God's perfect tribute,
Displayed for all to see,
The wonders of His powers,
Presented so graciously.

We see the moon fading into the skies,
But we don't see it gathering it's moonbeams,
When the night is put to rest,
Along with goodnight's sweet dreams.

The sun peeks through the skies,
Projecting traces of it's light,
Signaling the beginning of early morn,
And the closing of the night,

Truly a sight filled blessing,
Happening before our eyes,
God's exquisite display,
Makes it easy to realize.

That He has placed us here on earth,
His beauty to surmise,
Following the resting of the irridescent moon,
He gave us His sunrise.

I Talk To Him In Prayer

by

Evelyn Bell Smith

When life's problems pose an answer,
And are impossible to bear,
When my mind is totally stressed,
And I can't seek haven anywhere.

I take out time to sort my problems,
And I find the answers there,
When I get down on my knees,
And talk to God in prayer.

He helps me solve the answers,
On the righteous path he shines the light,
He shows me the direction,
He makes all things so right.

So when my burdens get too heavy,
I know he's always there,
I get down on my knees,
And talk to God in prayer.
