LOST LOVE (Amorous)

by

Delores Senkbeil

The day is dark and gloomy,
Rain is in the air.
I'm sitting here, thinking of you,
Wondering if you still care.

I have a few precious memories,
Stored up in my heart,
Of the nights we were together,
Before fate forced us apart.

The first night we spent together,
One of the very precious few,
Your loving was so fulfilling,
Now, only dreams will have to do.

Your hungry lips devoured mine,
Then our tongues started dueling too.
I knew at that very moment,
I'd never stop loving you.

Even after our passion was spent,
We kept holding each other tight.
We both had tear drops in our eyes,
Knew we'd never forget this night.

Does the memory of this night haunt you,
Like it's forever haunting me?
But, life must go on, I know.
Maybe some day, my heart will be free.
