I've been here a while
Just lying on my bed
It gets kinda old
Wondering how you've been
I wish I had a little strength
Maybe then I could call you

I remember all the stories you told me
you had a rough life living on the streets
Things still aren't peachy keen
But hey, they can only get better from here

It's been so long since I was addicted
But I still can't say I'm clean
There's still something I can't let go of
Somtimes I lose my grip
I don't think I can withstand another fall
I'm begging for your help
But you can't hear my cries

People tell me I'm so pathetic
It's been forever and I'm still dying
Is this really worth my pain?
I feel so strong but I can tell I'm weak
When does the picture fade?

God, help me get through another night
I'm alone and crying once again
It's like a cancer that keeps spreading
I'm dead before I'm even gone
And I dream of a life worth living
And I dream of a love worth giving
And I dream, yeah I dream, oh I dream
I can't take this

I've been here a while
Just lying on my bed
It gets kinda old
Wondering how you've been
I wish I had a little strength
Maybe then I could call you
