A silent Vistor

by

Najia Safdar

She walks by my window
A silent vistor of the night
Enters my mind like a soft breeze.
Brings hope when sorrow comes over me
I can feel her existance
Her joy is i can breathe
i wish i could see her
Though her presence i can feel
Giving me shelter when rain pours over me
She is someone whom god has sent for me
And when gloom clouds my life
And when tears pour down my eye
Her face comes before me.
Ready to give me comfort and relief
She lives in my immagination
She resides in my reveire
She is my precious one
In struggle and strife
i know that she is there for me

Isolation

by

Najia Safdar

It makes me think
It makes my eyes blink
Why I stand isolatd on this cliff
Till yesterday i was known to all
And now there is only me and this wind
And the chains of lonliness that i wear
And the fear that drops down the eyelid like a tear
i fail to wonder can life be so cruel to me
Why is reality so bleak and my reverie sweet
I wish to hiberate in this vacant castle of past and memories

Memories

by

Najia Safdar

And though these leaves
Stroll down my path
Reminds me of the happy
Days that have long gone past
And though these dispersed memories
Are a treasure which the strong winds of
Time have shattered
I wish to recall and associate
The intricate puzzule
Of forgotten thoughts
The faces and places
Which were once my present
The harsh winds of life had blown
Disassembled the continuty of time

Uma Visita Silenciosa

Ela caminha junto a minha janela
Um visita silenciosa da noite
Vem em minha mente como uma brisa macia.
Traz esperança quando a tristeza se abate
Eu posso sentir sua existência
Sua alegria é eu poder respirar
Eu desejo poder vê-la
Penso sentir sua presença
Dando-me abrigo quando a chuva vem
Ela é alguém que deus enviou-me

Laughter

by

Najia Safdar

I can hear your laughter
An outburst of your emotion
Which you express in this subtle way
I can feel your mirth
A narration of your mirth
Which you show in this way

Your laugher seems to resound
In every corner of my mind
I can feel your new found happiness
Which you narrate in this joyous way

Leave

by

Najia Safdar

If i have to leave
You need not fear
not a word a tear
just bear in silence
the time's sentence
I had tried to stop
But the distances were great
And miles apart you lay
I had to obey the time calling
The beseech i could not refuse
Therefore i had to leave oneday
If i have to leave
You need not fear
And if you remember me.
just look back in time
The memories that i leave
The shadows that were once mine
Will remind you of me
The reins I can visualize
The ropes that are fastening me
The rift between your love and life
The pain I can forebear
I can see the sun drowning into darkness
The hours are just elapsing
I can understand god's imtimations
They are calling me

Isto me faz pensar
Faz meus olhos piscarem

Reach

by

Najia Safdar

And though you are far
Thou little star
Where i cannot reach
Even though how hard i beseech
The distances would never seize

And though little star
The blighted skies
Your sadness i can feel
The isolation you bear
Reminds you of me

And though little star
You repose in the
Vastness of the sky
In fear you live
In darkness you reside
The hovering skies
In pain you strive

And though little star
It is but a vision
that god sent
For you and me
A hope that makes us live
A hope for us to strive
