My goal is to be like Jesus,
To draw near Him each day,
And show to others Christian love,
In all I do and say.

I know that He is there for me,
Great comfort Jesus gives,
He gives me strength to reach the goal,
As for Him I try to live.

I am sure the road is narrow;
The path will not be bright,
But as long as He is with me,
I have a guiding light.

Each day I grow closer to Him,
And hope to reach the goal,
Because I love Him truly with
all my heart and soul.

I want to be an example,
A kind person and a friend,
I surrender all to Jesus,
Near to Him I will attend.

One glorious day I'll meet Him
The Father's only Son,
And how I long to hear those words,
When Jesus says, "Well Done."
