Just a kid only seventeen

by

Reg123

Living on the edge of life, had to fight to keep alive
Whilst taking a trip on a magic ship, his life it took a dive
Sitting by the street light, in a technicolor scene
Like a silicone chip inside his head, in a world of dreams.

He was on a one way trip living in a dream, he was just a kid, only 17

This went on for two long years, on the street without a home
Had no bags or baggage, not a thing to call his own
Like a magpie in the forest, robbing to feed his call
He just wanted the good life, but he had none at all

His life began to tumble as he was on a high
He took another magic trip, it was time to say goodbye
Sitting on the sidewalk, his life was near the end
His life and soul destroyed now and that he could not mend

He knew his life was over, as he lay down his head
He drifted off into his dream, and he will soon be dead

He was on a one way trip living in a dream, he was just a young kid, only seventeen.

Now listen kids, don`t take a trip on coke or speed or smack
Cos` if you do, there`s a very good chance that you will not come back

The Maiden Fair

by

Reg123

She was of the roaming kind
She traveled all over the sea
She had a wooden
But she was good to me

She went to the Indies
And across to Donegal
She took on a lot of men
In every port of call

She had a rovin` eye
As she looked down on me
But she hid things very well
Until she got out to sea

As I was with the Maiden Fair
It was to my surprise
She was just a pirate ship
Dressed up in disguise

So watch out all you seamen
Who on the streets do sail
Cos` she`s not what you think she is
Beware the ships you hail

When Paddy piped his hands on deck
His lass on the dock of the bay
Not knowing what was in store for him
When the anchor it a weigh.

Hannah`s Story

by

Reg123

I read a poem on the net today
About a girl with a broken heart
She lost this guy she loved so dear
She thought they`d never part

Her emotions were running high
Her head was in a spin
With the pounding throbbing loss of breath
That comes from far within

She was burdened with this heartache
She could not take the strain
She cried herself to sleep at night
With the heartache and the pain

She`d given up hope, faith and pride
Of, having her guy, by her side
With the endless feelings of deep regret
Of the good times they had, It`s hard to forget

Now she has lost, the love of her life
To another not far away
But don`t despair, Hannah my dear
Cos` you will love again some day.

The Revolution

by

We`ve got three milloin people living in poverty
I think that`s rather sad
There`s politicians and billionaires stealing all our money
I think that`s rather bad

We`ve got multi-national capitalists taking all the revenue when is all going to end
They`ve privatised food chains, playing with the rain forests, there`s nothing left to defend

We`ve got hamburger firms burning down the rain forests
I think that`s insane
We`ve got factories after factories belching out pollution
Check the colour of the rain

There must be a better economic system, the one based on peace
It cannot sustain the bridle materials, we got to make what we need

I gotta, gotta tell you some how, the revolution, revolution is now
I gotta, gotta tell you some how, the revolution, revolution is now
The revolution of the mind is the only revolution as the world goes round on another revolution
The revolution of the mind is the only revolution as the world goes round on another revolution.
