The Day He Died

by

Kasey Ramil

I remember the day he died
And in his place someone we never knew was there
His death didn't make me cry
I just realized the world is unfair.

His body didn't die
Just the man inside
Or was that all a lie
Everyone knows, it was never denied.

I thought I loved that man
But it was only fear
I will live without him, I know I can
My memories were crushed, that I held so dear.

I try to make myself see
but why bother
there must be a reason I lost my father.
