some days
i hate you
i hate you before you can
leave me
i hate that you can make me
question
and make me weak
because i'm fine when i use my head
and it's lame to say that
i used my heart
because it's just an organ
that pumps blood
around my body
so that i can bleed
and it gives life
to my head
so i can talk myself
in and out of situations
so i didn't use it
to feel what ifelt for you yesterday
i used my eyes
to see what i see in your eyes
the depth and comfort, the way
you look at me so lovingly
the half smile, intense look
you give me
i use my ears to hear what you write to me
the words you speak, love you tell me you will
always feel
i use the tips of my fingers, the sensations on my cheek
as you brush them with the back of your hand
no i cannot say i used my heart
because that
would be
