Wake Up
By Carole Pink
May 21, 2003 (first draft)

This is the time
Grab it they say
Carpe diem the wise ones say
I am tired
I wish to sleep
Wake up
The window is open
Climb through they say

All the gravity
Pushes me into the earth
Weighted and waiting
The dark flower is blooming
Crouching over my heart
Stranglin the flow of the path

This is the time
Grab, seize, climb through the thorns
In through the open window
Be my own prince charming
Use my own wisdom
Kiss myself awake
