Journey to the Planets

by

Brett Phillips

First we'll visit Mercury, and we will have some fun....then we'll go to Venus but our trip is far from done.

Next is Planet Earth, a place that we call home, yet our trip has hardly started...we have oh so far to rome.

Soon we'll be at Mars, it has an awfully cold core...did you know that Mars was named for the Roman God of War?

Jupiter is next on our list, it has a great red spot, the orange planet also has hurricanes alot.

We'll be at Saturn soon, the rings are made of ice, Saturn has 18 moons...that's very very nice.

The next stop is Uranus, it spins on its side. If you go on this planet...WARNING...you're in for quite a ride.

Let's go to Neptune next, it's too far to be seen...did you know that it has rings?? That's awfully peachy keen!

Our last stop is Pluto, it is VERY VERY cold...I bet you didn't know THAT planet is about a billion years old!

So now our trip is done...I hope you enjoyed your ride....now let's go back to Earth and eat a Cherry Pie!!!

Fall

by

Leaves swirling 'round, falling to the ground, until they are found, by a little boy in sweats. Cold front is coming in, bold as that may be, that won't stop a curious boy, a little boy in sweats. If I was there that autumn, with the little boy in sweats, I'd say to him this, no more, no less.
"You are a curious little kid, a one with lots of joy. I'm glad that you are not inside, playing with your toys. It's a wonderful world that we live in, but some could not care why. You are that little, special kid, who enjoys it by and by. You should be really happy, playing in the sun. I hope you stay yourself forever, having lots of fun."

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
If Dennis was my dad,
I'd probably go mad!!!!

or

Roses are red,
Violets are blue
Dennis is the best,
because he has a son like you:)

Earth

by

Earth. A swirling utopia of crystal-blue oceans and lush green landscapes. The oasis of the universe, the envy of space. A wonderous place where babies grow up into fellow humans, where they florish in harmony. Animal like in packs and herds, searching for food together and finding shelter together. Fish swim in the sparkling seas, peacefully living without need or desire. Everyone lives off another on Earth, this utopia of utopias, this paradise of paradises, this, our home, Earth.
