What's In a Name?

by

Adam Pfaff

(Part One)

Ditto on the eyebrows, Markus. Let's
keep the rich rain going.

Something tells us this land's retched,
and the world is slowly knowing.

I'm with you on the nosehairs Peter, the
weather cleared up early.

Everything is smiling at you Anthony,
there is no need to be so surley.

Bethany takes the pistol skyward, slings into
the old southwest. Susan keeps her undercover,
and you all know the rest.

(Part Two)

Ditto on the earwax Janey,
let's keep it to the min,
no one likes a tattletale,
and that's a definite sin.

Pick up your toys, now, Alex,
and put them in the chest,
Adrian tells you, bullied stories,
but you know they are the best.

Robert took the guitar passion, Jimmy
sang with hallowed voice, and Melissa,
gave up on her choice.

Let's go down to the new world, Pauly, and
set it all on fire. It's come down to this
enrichly, it's all down to the wire.

Ditto on the ditch-dig, Markus, let's keep
the rich rain going. I stand out in it
soaking wetly, with my damaged pride
at last not showing.

Self Co'Sis

by

Adam Pfaff

My soul mate wanders, wanders,
into my heart and dying.

Sent my aching into oblivion,
and sent me down to lying.

I have a heart ache, caused by you,
since you left it so wide open,
for the time has came for what I' do,
I think I'll curse this sin.

Some may say that answers ringing,
are awakened in my mind, for an eternal
twilight singing, I have layed it all down onto
the line.

I of my soul mate wonder, does she know
the truthful whole? Does it matter?
Would I know?

Some people ask me,
"what's the deal?", I tell them I
feel so free.

My soul mate wanders, wonders,
into my soul and dying, sent my
aching into eternity, a life long death of trying.

Surrendered, formered, officially given in.
I thank you for the attention that you once
gave me, I wish I could finally tell you. But I can't,
where would I begin?

I lay my life on the line,
every single day,

know the flip side of the demon, man,
man it sucks up there.

Saw the dragon fly the alley, into my
shattered hopes, give me reason to
fight it back, send it up against the ropes.

No one gives a care, about your petty life,
unless you've got a story with, the edge of
this sharp, dank, tale.

I lay my life on the line, every single day,

I know the dark side of the Earth lies quietly,
quietly,
quietly,
quietly,

way too quiet for me.

I want to shatter this world, I want to lay it on the line,
I want to shout it from the rooftops, give, give, give,

GIVE ME A CHANCE.

Out With A Shout

by

Adam Pfaff

He was the one, they
all raved about. Send me

a story, give me a shout.

I can't help the ryhme, I can't
force the beat, I have an itching

beneath me, right down to my feet.

People know lightly, and I barely see,
a loving light kindly, a paranioa gently.

The words don't flow, the
way they once had. I bet you will
find this one awkward, if you
don't then I'm had.

I was the one, they all raved about,
I'll send you a story, I'll send you

a shout.

I am the one, they told be committed,
I was for a time, for this I've admitted.

He was the one, they all raved about.

Stay away from his stories, give him
a shout.

The one, epilogue. parts one and parts
two. No one tells it a better story,
then someone named you.

He was the one, they all raved on
and on and on. Give me a story,
I feel like your pawn....

End?

Barbie Doll (Come and Go)

by

Adam Pfaff

Baby come, baby go, where she
stand I do not know.

Baby gone, baby back, what the heck,
I have lost track

No baby anymore, no more thoughts
of her.

I cannot see the horizon over the clouds,
blanketing the thoughts of her.

Play through fields of barley, get a warmy
feelin'. I doubt I'd know if she were one,
to re-set my aching heart a reelin'.

Baby come, baby go, just stay baby, I
can't lose you so.

Baby said, baby heard, I do not know,
what my babe inferred.

Tears came running, in a stream on down
my face. I have to hold myself together,
got to keep on pace.

Baby came, baby went, I ain't go no baby,
now I must relent.

All that love gone to baby, sweet oh baby,
baby, please come to me today.

Bright Sunny Day

by

Adam Pfaff

Torrent of rain,
current of death.

Dark cloud thunders,
over what is left.

Dark stormy lifetime,
torrent of the gods.

Let it go a gentley,
can't remember the last of it.

Torrent of rain,
current of death.

Dark skies looming,
over what is left.

Dark stormy lifetime,
torrent of the gods.

I felt your harsh cruel ruling,
over the crushing of the dogs.

Death rains down, down onto me.

A bright and sunny day, has finally
just been let free.

Sila Anasazi

by

Adam Pfaff

See the whisper, gently see,
with a whisp of breath she let's me be.

None the wiser, but wisdom fleets,
she runs abounding, with swiftful feet.

Hear her barking, hear your power, she
serves protection, hour after hour.

Feel her heart beat, pounding heart,
there is something to hear life-beats,
that gives me a start.

Sila runs in astounding frolicks, through
fields of grass so green.

Nothing ever can compare it, I believe you
know my meaning.

Black, long, hair, she looks as if a bear.
Her size and slender unimagined, there
is so much of her to fear.

See the whisper, gently see, whisp of
breath she let's me be.

Playfull petting, lot's of treats, she's a
very good doggy!

Heavens Path In the Sky

by

Adam Pfaff

Two thousand feet we trod,
into the fathoms of the skies beyond.

Nowhere tread the path's we lay,
into the dungeon we make our way.

Soar into Heaven, majestic sense,
of gliders and eagles, of cloud tops
and sunshines,

of time we erase, the endless path,

path, of death and time that consumes
us all.

Three thousand feet we climb, up to the
belfry, we hear it chime.

Five thousand, upward, upward, soar, give
new meaning to the concept "more."

Never, never, come back down, fly we must,
fly around, and around.

Six thousand, over the clouds, doubt is no longer,
just a shroud...

shroud of consequence.

We fly. We fly for the feeling. We live for the feeling.

The feeling of knowing God.

Amen.

Moonlight Walkings

by

Adam Pfaff

I once walked into a threshold. I walked into the brink.
Never realized how I was so bold, much more that I think.
The stars would light my way to enter. The moonlight
twinkles in. I need to find my soul and center, and live to
change this sin.

Too many thresholds hold no answers, and close the gates
of dawn.
I know no one ever cries out, until their very soul is gone.
The clouds are covering closely, the twinkle dwindles down.
I know of no more pleasures, than to walk the night by sound.

This isn't a promise to you seekers, nor a threat to anyone.
The verge of answers comes more slowly, when you are
running for the one.

I once walked into a threshold. I walked into the brink.
Never thought I'd ever make it. Much more than that I think.
The stars would light by way to enter, the moonlight twinkles
in. I need to find my soul and center, for my life begun to spin.

Untitled

I had an idea, for a dream, it went so
so eloquent. I needed an image, it
would seem,

to make me such a gent.

No wonder, if I doubt, I fail to safely say,

What wonders can mankind make of us,
when no one owns today.

I had an idea, for a poem, it won't be very
long. It has no narrative drive, nor a plot,
and would make a lousy song.

It ended with a statement, so very broad and
true. It ended simply, with the words:

Oh God, how I very do love you.

Eclipsed Angel

by

Adam Pfaff

I had a dream of an angel, who came from Heaven down.
She was so tall her, and her eyes were so round.

Her blue eyes shined, like an aqua blue pearl. No doubt
about it, this was one heck of a girl.

No dust doth my wind collect, when thinking fair of her.
For long ago ages, hold no angels so pure.

Her honor, and heart, are ever so true. Her talent beyond,
what she feels she can do.

Only so many, of angels can know, of how the light it might
shine, when Heaven looks down below.

I had a dream of an angel, who knows not her power. She so
much inside her, so little to fear.

The angel came down here, to soften man's emotional plague.
She lives here among us, this angel named Meg.

It Doesn't Make Sense to Me, Either

by

Adam Pfaff

Crank raked the hippolizard multiplexed.

Gone down the narrow twilight zone. I guess
this shit is what truly does gone, when one
doth not yourself don't own.

Tis better to have loved and lost, than to have
never loved at all. I guess that is what I feel so
heartbroken, sitting here in the Autumn fall.

Word.
