hear the inhale,
the increase of the flow of air made
in a year of review
I have sponsered the cheapest of
vodka's, aaaand the more sophisticated
numbing my body to the pain inflicted
by the jabs
of the Man
whaaa! man, The Man,
I have unmasked the one that has held
my person down. His face of flames,
trained incauseing sweat like melting
which over the brows came
as I added fuel to the flames
to burn the vision so much the same
as....mine? Is it,
The Man that I feared as the years
aged the sight.
I hid in the confinements of
my made Man, now in residence
of my flesh, now I dare Devil
to come and try to take the rest.
This soul, this heart, my smile
awaits the release
of a breath deep
that I let loose into a new year.
For the first time I was broken down
yet the tone, more fierce than my Grandmothers
when I had burned something, lied, the sound
alone that scarred me close to death
that for who I lost identity with
I take a deep breath
with the expansion of my chest. My eyes
now blind and all else made perfect.
All Isaw for myself and guided,
a road not mine.
I release.
And evangelize in this piece.
