Its just a dream.

by

Albert Parkinson

The sun was shining brightly, ............... in New York USA
as people went about their lives, ................... like any other day.
Children off to school did go, ....................... as mothers said goodbyes.
Dad already working .................................. as death came in from the skies.
No one could have known that day, ............. what fate had got in store.
three thousand souls would lose their lives,
and see loved ones no more.

God is love, thats what they say,
no-matter who you are.
Yet hearts so filled with hatred,
Planned their carnage from afar.
The outcome of this outrage,
meant that more were sure to die,
And i'm sure that God is asking, ................... Oh why, Oh why, Oh why?.
This world that we all live in
could be such a wonderous place,
living side by side together,
With no concerns of race.

A problem with the colour why?
were all the same inside.
And the only race that matters
is the human race, and pride.
Conflicts forever banished
Its just a dream i have,
That one day we will get there,
In a world thats filled with love.
Where no-one suffers hunger,
and rich countries help the poor.
And for those who choose to love a God.
It's just one God for all.
