One last glimpse

by

Crystal Jean Nixon

A cry in the distance
I hear the voice
Weeping over the ground
Catching one last glimpse
A face not seen for years
Laying still beauty
With the exception of pale skin
Lips that once were crimson
Now more the shad of Lilac
Closing my eyes in disbelief
I thought I would never see this sight
People standing for the black tie affair
Standing under the Willow tree
Now my body is there
Once last glimpse before they burry me
Be it your will to say goodbye
Just let me rest under my tree
Take one last glimpse
A glimpse of me

You are me

by

Crystal Jean Nixon

I've known you all my life
Your smile and reflection
I comforted you all my life
With hugs and love
I wiped your tears all my life
Not only for a moment but always
I held you all my life
Always with open arms
I have seen you through all my life
It shall always be us
I have loved you all my life
For I always will
It's funny though, for you are me

My Silence

by

Crystal Jean Nixon

I sit in silence, no words do I speak
My ears listen while my eyes only peek
I hide my pain behind my smile
Sometimes it seems no longer worth while
I touch, yet I cannot feel
I ask myself is this life real?
Am I a person, or a soul in the wind at another place?
Am I just a name, a figur, another face?
Who I am is me, an empty soul trying to wonder free
I leave this time and this place
For I am not just a name, a figure, or another face
I am the pain that she hides from her voice
I am the one who leaves her no choice
I am the one who spins her mind
If you look inside of her, I am whom you shall find

Chance

by

Crystal Jean Nixon

A chance of serendipity
As their eyes met
And a simple smile across their face
Bright as a lamp
Like a sun rise over the mountains
The peace in the air
Like the whispers of the wind
To hear his voice
For he is my rodeo
And i am his jeep driving cowgirl
Traveling on a road tirp
Destination vacation
To a solitude beach
Beer in their hands
you and me, as we kiss
This is my dream, my love, my future

current time

by

Crystal Jean Nixon

A silence that is heavy
Upon my weary ears
One full of mistakes
I made throughout my years

I stare that is given
Placed upon my face
Dishonor for living
It earased all my grace

Memories once good
Fall to the depths of hell
All became once I stood
Words in which I tell

All within a time
The mistakes that were mine
Silence upon my ears
All throughout these years
All that was good, now hell
Awaiting my fall, I will not fail.
