Look After Others

by

Kenny Neilson

If you are discouraged, and feeling mighty low,
There's no reason to be happy, this life's all you know.
Well, if you ask me, what I think you ought to do?
Is to look after others, God will look after you!

You may not have much money to spend on anyone,
But just spending your time with a friend, could be fun.
Life is too short, and there's some good you can do,
If you look after others, God will look after you!

Now I've been down that highway of no where to go,
Just thinking of myself, and feeling mighty low,
But then a good friend of mine, told me what I ought to do,
Just look after others, God will look after you!

Look after others, love and treat them real kind,
And for once in your life, you'll have true peace of mind.
It may sound crazy, but you will find that it's true,
When you look after others, God will look after you!

God will look after you, He will bless what you've done.
God will look after you, your new life has begun.
You will never be wanting, and you'll never be blue,
So just look after others, God will look after you.

The Canada Song

by

Kenny Neilson

What's there to sing about?
Can-a-da! Can-a-da!
Peace and understanding
all the way, yea! yea! yea!
I give her all my love,
She gives me blue skies above,
and the golden valleys in the west!

What's there to smile about?
Can-a-da! Can-a-da!
Tourists come to see her
thousands every day.
It could be our ski resorts,
or the beauty of our land.
This country was made for love,
so we love our fellowman!

What's there to brag about?
Can-a-da! Can-a-da!
Natural resources
is our stock and trade.
The wheat fields are our main concern,
and the fishes of the sea.
Oil, pulp, and nickel, too,
just to mention a few!

What's there to sing about?
Can-a-da! Can-a-da!
Peace and understanding
all the way, yea! yea! yea!
I give her all my love,
She gives me blue skies above,
and the golden valleys in the west!

Help Somebody

by

Kenny Neilson

If I can help somebody along their way,
And bring in some sunshine to brighten up their day.
It's the best thing that I can do
For someone who may need a friend,
I want to help somebody along their way.

Be of some comfort by just holding their hand,
Or silently praying to the Creator of this land.
Asking for his guidance, his strength, and his love,
Helping God's children with the power from above.

To visit the sickly, the lonely, amd the lost,
Loving my neighbour whatever might be the cost.
The price has been paid, now it's all up to me,
Jesus paid it all when he died at Calvary.

If I can help somebody along their way,
And bring in some sunshine to brighten up their day.
It's the best thing that I can do
For someone who may need a friend,
I want to help somebody along their way.

Don't Bother Me Now!

by

Kenny Neilson

I've got such a load on my mind,
And I haven't been so well.
I can't even spare a measly dime,
So, don't bother me now!

My wages aren't what they seem
As I told my good pal.
The pay gets smaller each week,
So, don't bother me now!

You want to spend my money
As if it grows on trees.
You can't be satisfied
With just taters and peas.

But listen to what I say to you
Before you have a fit,
If I don't pay the rent this month,
We'll have no place to sit.

I've never had much gold or such
To spend on you, my gal.
It's always been half 'n dutch,
So, don't bother me now!

If I become a millionaire
I'll buy an oil well,
Just for you, my charming fair,
But, don't bother me now!

When The Two Of Us Are One

by

Kenny Neilson

Let's share our life with the one whom we love,
Encourage and help, honour and trust.
Think more of the other, and less of ourself,
When the two of us are one.

Be patient and kind, as we grow in our love.
Try to accept the good with the bad,
And we should never forget, to always give thanks,
When the two of us are one.

When the two of us are one,
We should work out things together.
We should lay our burdens down,
At the foot of the Cross.

As we come to Him in prayer,
He'll supply our every need.
Bless our home, give us peace of mind,
When the two of us are one.

When the two of us are one,
We should work out things together.
We should lay our burdens down,
At the foot of the Cross.

As we stand before the Lord,
Let us seek His grace and power.
Bless our home, give us peace of mind,
When the two of us are one.

New Life

by

Kenny Neilson

As you wander along on the pathway of life,
you may have some mountains to climb.
There may be some detours, or bridges to cross,
and some roads rough and rugged you'll find.

You may hunger and thirst for a life that is full,
but those years of plenty are gone.
And all that remains is the mem'ry of things
that carry you thru till the dawn.

But you need not die in vain,
no, you need not die in vain.
Just call out to Jesus,
ask forgiveness of your sins.

And you'll never be alone,
no, you'll never be alone.
Just call out to Jesus,
and your New Life will begin.

When you rise from your sleep
at the break of the day,
Unconcerned of what may lie ahead.

Your heart seems quite bitter,
and your tears have gone dry
Because sickness has kept you in bed.

But you'll still wander along on this pathway of life
for many more miles to come.
Unwanted, unloved, just to die without hope,
finally your life will be o'er.

But you need not die in vain,
no, you need not die in vain.
Just call out to Jesus,
ask forgiveness of your sins.

And you'll never be alone,
no, you'll never be alone.
Just call out to Jesus,
and your New Life will begin.

Hopes, Dreams and Love

by

Kenny Neilson

I love you in the springtime
when the grass is turning green,
When the buds are a-blooming
on our old apple tree.

The birds will be singing
in the treetops near our home.
Spring will come to us again
to freshen our hopes, dreams and love.

The song that they'll be singing
is the sweetest song I've ever heard.
About a love that has withered away,
but will bloom again in spring.

The winter nights have been long,
but the chill is leaving us now.
I can feel the sun caress us
to brighten our hopes, dreams and love.

Now the sun is shining bright,
and the grass is growing tall.
The birds are singing happily
because our love is strong.

We will fight off impurities
that were poisoning our minds before.
Spring will be with us all year long
in our hopes, dreams and our love.

Nebuchadnezzar

by

Kenny Neilson

Nebuchadnezzar, the King of Babylon
Was thought to be the greatest king of all.
He had wealth and power, he was the man of the hour.
The people all worshipped this king, oh, yea!
Because he had them under his wing.

Nebuchadnezzar, the King of Babylon,
He thought himself greater than all.
He bragged of what he done, and that he was number one.
He thought he was a god, yes, he did, oh, yea!
Who was this guy tryin' to kid?

Nebuchadnezzar disappeared from Babylon,
The people all wondered where he went.
He was found on his knees, eatin' grass, if you please.
The Lord had made a monkey out of him, oh, yea!
But soon, old King Nebby would give in.

Nebuchadnezzar praised the Lord in Babylon,
He gave thanks to the Lord on high.
No more is Neb insane, on the throne, again he'll reign,
But he will not give glory to himself, oh, no!
He's lookin' to years of good health.

Nebuchadnezzar, the King of Babylon,
His story is recorded in God's word.
Just turn to Daniel's book, and have yourself a look.
I'm sure old King Nebby will not mind, oh, no!
Because you will see he turned out fine, oh, yea!
Yes, he's up in heaven doin' time.

At the Close of the Day

by

Kenny Neilson

I wonder if you miss me
in the same sort of way,
I wonder if you're dreaming, too
at the close of the day.

When my day is finished,
and the birds have gone to nest,
The sun's away behind the clouds,
soon the people will be at rest.

Here in the stillness of my room
where it's quiet and serene,
I love to sit and dream of you
'cause you're the best I've ever seen.

I wonder if you miss me
in the same sort of way,
I wonder if you're dreaming, too
at the close of the day.

'Tis true I miss you very much,
it will ever be the same,
I'll always sort of catch my breath
whenever I speak your name.

The joy I now have within my heart
is because you put it there,
God has blessed me with someone
who really shows how much she cares.

I wonder if you miss me
in the same sort of way,
I wonder if you're dreaming, too
at the close of the day.

Let the Rest of the World Sail By

by

Kenny Neilson

I'm sailing down the Great Lakes of Canada,
sailing homeward bound.
My love ones will be waiting for me, I know,
at the Ferry Dock where I left them for Mexico.

It seems like it's been years ago
since I left my old Sarnia town,
But now that I am here, I'm gonna stay for awhile,
and let the rest of the world sail by.

Sail along with me to Italy,
or to the far-off shores of Spain,
You'll find some place that you would rather be,
if you want to know, just sail along with me.

I'm sailing down the Great Lakes of Canada,
sailing homeward bound.
My love ones will be waiting for me, I know,
at the Ferry Dock where I left them for Mexico.

It seems like it's been years ago
since I left my old Sarnia town,
But now that I am here, I'm gonna stay for awhile,
and let the rest of the world sail by.

Sailing, sailing, over the rivers and the streams,
but I won't stop until I find
The city that is yours and mine,
it's on the banks of the St. Clair River.

I'm sailing down the Great Lakes of Canada,
sailing homeward bound.
My love ones will be waiting for me, I know,
at the Ferry Dock where I left them for Mexico.

It seems like it's been years ago
since I left my old Sarnia town,
But now that I am here, I'm gonna stay for awhile,
and let the rest of the world sail by.

Tupelo

by

Kenny Neilson

Born in a two-room shack in Tupelo, Mississippi,
where it all began.
Raised on taters, peas and corn,
there grew up one beautiful man.

His folks were poor, but they somehow managed,
sometimes livin' on nothin' but faith.
And with the help of God, they moved to Memphis,
this would be their resting place.

There were two sons born to Gladys and Vernon
on January eighth, thirty-five.
But Jesse Garon died without ever knowin'
that his brother would remain alive.

And carry thru a man's ambition
to become the best in what you do.
But this young man went even further,
and made a billion or two.

Sun Records were the first to recognize great talent,
they gave him a contract to sign.
There wasn't too much hesitation,
he would sign on the dotted line.

With sideburns long, and a wavy black hair-do,
there stood a man who would shock the world.
At nineteen years old, a star in Memphis,
he'd win the hearts of all the girls.

Born in a two-room shack in Tupelo, Mississippi
where it all began.
Raised on taters, peas and corn,
there grew up one beautiful man.

His folks were poor but they somehow managed,

In My World

by

Kenny Neilson

There's peace, love and happiness
in my world.
There's no war, hate or sorrow
in my world.
Regardless of what tomorrow brings,
I'll always try to smile
in my world.

The air is pure, and the birds all sing
in my world.
The mountain streams are fresh and clean
in my world.
I'll never hurt sweet mother nature,
She'll always get her way
in my world.

There are friends galore who love me so
in my world.
They're always there to lend a hand
in my world.
A good friend is so hard to find,
I'll never let him down
in my world.

I'll live my life enriching souls
in my world.
I can't believe there's not a God
in my world.
There's a reason why I'm here on earth,
I'm certain He's the answer
in my world.

Tijuana Nights

by

Kenny Neilson

It was in mid-July,
lonely and hot was I,
down in Tijuana, Mexico.

I heard an old guitar,
a-playing in this bar,
a tune with a Spanish melody.

There was a lady there,
she clicked her heels and stared,
step-danced for coins and dollar bills.

It was a grand old time,
and I drank some wine,
enjoying my night in Mexico.

And then to my surprise,
I saw these big, brown eyes,
ooh, the prettiest girl in all the world.

She had a smile so sweet,
that swept me off my feet,
yes, this was the girl for me.

I thank the man upstairs,
he answered all my prayers,
by sending Juanita into my life.

Ooh, the nights are grand,
since she pleased her man,
by saying, si, si, she'd marry me.

Everything's okay,
I am here to stay,
down in Tijuana, Mexico.

And I won't forget,
ooh, the night we met,
as the guitar played a Spanish tune.

And what a big surprise,
when I saw those eyes,
she's the prettiest girl in all the world.

I am so glad she's mine,
and we'll enjoy our time,
on those Tijuana nights.

Live Every Day With A Smile

by

Kenny Neilson

I'm gonna live every day with a smile,
cast all my troubles away.
You won't see me worry, that's not my style,
'cause I'll live every day with a smile.

Life is depressing at times,
but it won't cause me to frown.
I'll hold up my head, and smile instead
of crying my whole life away.

I'm gonna laugh when I'm feeling lowdown,
forget the cares of the day.
Bring on the sunshine when it's trying to rain,
wipe all my teardrops away.

And I'll live every day with a smile,
cast all my troubles away.
You won't see me worry, that's not my style,
'cause I'll live every day with a smile.

Wastin' His Time

by

Kenny Neilson

Smokin' marijuana causes us harm,
not to mention the junk we shoot into our arm.
Drinkin' rye whiskey straight from the jug
will drain life's ambitions, yet we'll pull the plug.
Cuz we don't listen, we don't pay Him no mind,
it seems all we're doin' is wastin' His time.

Overeatin' foods we don't need that much of
weakens the heart, and fattens the blood.
Unhealthy habits filtrate the brain,
it won't be long before we ride that midnight train.
But we don't listen, we don't pay Him no mind,
it seems all we're doin' is wastin' His time.

Diseases are spreadin', it's rotting our soul,
our mind and our body, we haven't no goal.
God gave us life so the Bible says,
but we're not lookin' after what's rightfully His.
Cuz we don't listen, we don't pay Him no mind,
it seems all we're doin' is wastin' His time.

Corruption, destruction are words we should hate,
but we'll shell out the bread whatever our fate.
Money buys evil, and we love the expense,
whatever happened to the words, common sense?
But we don't listen, we don't pay Him no mind,
it seems all we're doin' is wastin' His time.

Tweet, Tweet, Tweet

by

Kenny Neilson

The yellow canary sitting in his cage
singing a love song of this day and age.
He sings so sweet and mellow,
you'd swear he wasn't yellow.
He's more like a blue bird singing this song.

He sings, tweet, tweet, tweet, my baby's gone,
tweet, tweet, tweet, I can't go on.
What's the use, you've cooked my goose,
you know why I can't live without you.

Tweet, tweet, tweet, how can I tell you,
tweet, tweet, tweet, why did they sell you?
Since you have left me, my cage is so messy,
why must you go when I need you so?

Tweet, tweet, tweet, I guess I had it coming,
tweet, tweet, tweet, now look my nose is running.
I hope you satisfy that guy who had to buy
my sweet, little baby canary.

Ridin' the Range with Big Red

by

Kenny Neilson

Fourteen years ago, a quarter horse was born,
'Red Mambo Junior', he was named.
Head strong and handsome, a giant of a horse,
but to me, he was always Big Red.

I was twelve at the time, kinda small for my age,
and there stood the horse I was to train.
But it didn't take me long to saddle this young bronc,
he understood ev'ry move that I made.

I'll be ridin' the range with Big Red,
guidin' the reins 'round his head.
He'll listen to me 'cuz we're both fancy-free,
ridin' the range with Big Red.

I jumped in the saddle, and up on his back,
I rode him as best I could.
He bucked and he reared, and I bobbed up and down,
but I stayed in the saddle until dark.

Dad could see, we were made for each other,
and a show horse, Big Red was gonna be.
Big Red had a step so grateful and smart,
It could even put Trigger to shame.

I'll be ridin' the range with Big Red,
guidin' the reins 'round his head.
He'll listen to me 'cuz we're both fancy-free,
ridin' the range with Big Red.

Now he was ready, so we entered him in,
his first competition was in the bag.
We didn't even worry, Red was always great,
he came home with honours, and a ribbon to boot.

The rest of the story is written on the wall,
you'll find trophies and ribbons he has won.
And I'll keep on ridin' him, there's no setting sun,
it's just me and Big Red, that's all.

I'll be ridin' the range with Big Red,
guidin' the reins 'round his head.
He'll listen to me 'cuz we're both fancy-free,
ridin' the range with Big Red.

A Farmer's Prayer of Thanksgiving

by

Kenny Neilson

Thanks for the roof over my head,
and the soft pillow on my bed,
That I may dream
sweet memories of you.

Thanks for the land to grow my wheat,
and green pastures to feed my sheep,
And the Bible in my hand
to keep me strong.

The Lord who has made me
has given me good land,
So I may grow my wheatfields
where I can make my stand.

There's hard work ahead,
but the future will be bright,
'Cuz I'm stickin' close to my Jesus,
all the burdens will be light.

Thanks for the roof over my head,
and the soft pillow on my bed,
That I may dream
sweet memories of you.

Thanks for the land to grow my wheat,
and green pastures to feed my sheep,
And the Bible in my hand
to keep me strong.

It's so hard to believe
that someone just like you,
Would come into my heart today,
and make my life brand-new.

It's so great to love you Jesus,
and it's great to be alive,
As long as you are with me,
I know I will survive.

Thanks for the roof over my head,
and the soft pillow on my bed
That I may dream
sweet memories of you.

Thanks for the land to grow my wheat,
and green pastures to feed my sheep,
And the Bible in my hand
to keep me strong.

My Wonderful Mother

by

Kenny Neilson

My wonderful mother,
God knows that I love her.
She means more to me
than all the world I see.

My wonderful mother,
no wonder dad loves her.
Sheís the only one who would
never do me, any wrong.

Sheís the mother of my years,
gives me comfort, calms my fears.
Her arms are always open
to my beckon call.

Oh, how precious is her love,
and I thank my Lord above
For a mother such as she,
none can compare.

My wonderful mother,
God knows that I love her.
She means more to me
than all the world I see.

My wonderful mother,
no wonder dad loves her.
Sheís the only one who would
never do me, any wrong.

She would always let me see
that she believed in me.
She had that way of saying,
you can make it.

And today she has not changed,
her heart remains the same.
Just what she means to me,
words canít express.

My wonderful mother,
God knows that I love her.
She means more to me
than all the world I see.

My wonderful mother,
no wonder dad loves her.
Sheís the only one who would
never do me, any wrong.

None, but the God of Abraham

by

Kenny Neilson

Who put all the stars up there in the sky?
Who made all the birds, and taught them how to fly?
Who makes us feel happy when we sometimes want to cry?
None, but the God of Abraham!

Who made all the mountains, gave us rivers, and streams,
And all the pretty flowers, and the autumn leaves?
Who gave us all a nose so we're able to sneeze?
None, but the God of Abraham!

Who is this God who gives us, oh, so much?
Who tells us he loves us with his healing touch?
Who whispers in the wind, "I'll always be your friend?"
None, but the God of Abraham!

Who made all the animals, the monkeys, and the frogs,
The fishes in the ocean, and the cats, and the dogs?
And what about the tadpoles, and the pollywogs?
None, but the God of Abraham!

Who created man just like you and me?
Who gave us ears to hear, and two big eyes to see?
I'm sure you know by now who this has to be:
None, but the God of Abraham!

Now you know who made us, and who gave us everything,
Why don't we just thank him, and lift our hearts to sing:
"Thank you, God of Abraham for all you've done for me,
And may I say, I love you, Lord, and I'll always worship Thee."

Point Edward's Centennial Song

by

Kenny Neilson

Come! Come! Come to the Point!
Come to Point Edward's Centennial.
We're all waiting for you,
So do it now, do it soon.

Have you seen the Bluewater Bridge
Spanning the River St. Clair?
Just look down below,
There's a place we all know,
Point Edward, we love you.

Incorporated as a town,
She's part of history.
In June of eighteen-seven-eight,
Point Edward came to be.

So Come! Come! Come to the Point!
Come to Point Edward's Centennial.
We're all waiting for you,
So do it now, do it soon.

Have you seen the Bluewater Bridge
Spanning the River St. Clair?
Just look down below,
There's a place we all know,
Point Edward, we love you.

A hundred years have come and gone,
Our village still stands tall.
Prosperity and happiness
Has been given to us all.

So Come! Come! Come to the Point!
Come to Point Edward's Centennial.
We're all waiting for you,
So do it now, do it soon.

Have you seen the Bluewater Bridge
Spanning the River St. Clair?
Just look down below,
There's a place we all know,
Point Edward, Ontario.

Make Christmas Day the Life to Live

by

Kenny Neilson

Christmas comes but once a year
to bring glad tidings and good cheer.
For everyone who likes to give,
make Christmas Day the life to live.

Jingle bells and cockle shells,
sleigh rides in the snow.
Canít you see that big green tree
with coloured lights, dazzling bright.

It soon will be morning, and weíll be enjoying
the opening of our Christmas joys.
Presents for you, and presents for me
lay beneath that Christmas tree.

The pleasure of giving is worthwhile living
whether it be large or small.
To see a big smile on the face of a child
has a value that money canít buy.

Sincerely I say, give something away,
something near and dear to your heart.
By doing this, you will not miss
the pleasures of life everlasting.

Yes, Christmas comes but once a year
to bring glad tidings and good cheer.
For everyone who likes to give,
make Christmas Day the life to live.

Oh, He's Dressed in Red

by

Kenny Neilson

Oh, heís dressed in red, and he carries a bag full of toys,
and he gives them out to good girls and boys.
Oh, he rides his sleigh with eight tiny reindeer,
and on Christmas Day, you will find heís been here.

If you look up in the sky, I am certain you will hear,
sleigh bells a-ringiní, Santa Claus is near.
Oh, he might visit you, if you have been good,
so you better start now, and do like you should.

Merry Christmas! and a Ho! Ho! Ho!
this is what youíll hear Santa say,
"God bless ev'ry little girl and boy,
I hope I bro't you some Christmas joy."

Then heíll ride back home with a great big smile,
and all Godís children will be happy for awhile.
And by next year on a beautiful Christmas morn,
you will thank the Lord that little Jesus was born.

Merry Christmas! and a Ho! Ho! Ho!
this is what youíll hear Santa say,
"If you be good, then I will be back
with a bunch of toys in my big brown sack."

Oh, heís dressed in red, and he carries a bag full of toys,
and he gives them out to good girls and boys.
Oh, he rides his sleigh with eight tiny reindeer,
and on Christmas Day, you will find heís been here.

Ho! Ho!

That's What Christmas Means to Me

by

Kenny Neilson

A world full of smiling faces
singing Christmas carols Ďround the tree,
Waiting patiently for Jesusí birthday,
thatís what Christmas means to me.

A gift especially wrapped for mom and daddy,
oh, what joy our eyes will see
When they open up their Christmas presents,
thatís what Christmas means to me.

Christmas is a time for rejoicing!
Christmas is a time for us to sing!
So letís sing sings of praise to Jesus,
and let ev'ry bell on earth begin to
Ring-ring-ring! Ring-ring-ring!

A turkey is cooking in the oven
while the lights are flashing on the tree,
And snow is falling down from heaven,
thatís what Christmas means to me.

The stockings are filled with Christmas candy,
many gifts are placed beneath the tree.
Jesus was born to be my Saviour,
thatís what Christmas means to me.

Christmas is a time for rejoicing!
Christmas is a time for us to sing!
So letís sing sings of praise to Jesus,
and let ev'ry bell on earth begin to
Ring-ring-ring! Ring-ring-ring!

A world full of smiling faces
singing Christmas carols Ďround the tree,
Waiting patiently for Jesusí birthday,
thatís what Christmas means to me.

he understood ev'ry move that I made.

I'll be ridin' the range with Big Red,
guidin' the reins 'round his head.
He'll listen to me 'cuz we're both fancy-free,
ridin' the range with Big Red.

I jumped in the saddle, and up on his back,
I rode him as best I could.
He bucked and he reared, and I bobbed up and down,
but I stayed in the saddle until dark.

Dad could see, we were made for each other,
and a show horse, Big Red was gonna be.
Big Red had a step so grateful and smart,
It could even put Trigger to shame.

I'll be ridin' the range with Big Red,
guidin' the reins 'round his head.
He'll listen to me 'cuz we're both fancy-free,
ridin' the range with Big Red.

Now he was ready, so we entered him in,
his first competition was in the bag.
We didn't even worry, Red was always great,
he came home with honours, and a ribbon to boot.

The rest of the story is written on the wall,
you'll find trophies and ribbons he has won.
And I'll keep on ridin' him, there's no setting sun,
it's just me and Big Red, that's all.

I'll be ridin' the range with Big Red,
guidin' the reins 'round his head.
He'll listen to me 'cuz we're both fancy-free,
ridin' the range with Big Red.

A Farmer's Prayer of Thanksgiving

by

Kenny Neilson

Thanks for the roof over my head,
and the soft pillow on my bed,
That I may dream
sweet memories of you.

Thanks for the land to grow my wheat,
and green pastures to feed my sheep,
And the Bible in my hand
to keep me strong.

The Lord who has made me
has given me good land,
So I may grow my wheatfields
where I can make my stand.

There's hard work ahead,
but the future will be bright,
'Cuz I'm stickin' close to my Jesus,
all the burdens will be light.

Thanks for the roof over my head,
and the soft pillow on my bed,
That I may dream
sweet memories of you.

Thanks for the land to grow my wheat,
and green pastures to feed my sheep,
And the Bible in my hand
to keep me strong.

It's so hard to believe
that someone just like you,
Would come into my heart today,
and make my life brand-new.

It's so great to love you Jesus,
and it's great to be alive,
As long as you are with me,
I know I will survive.

Thanks for the roof over my head,
and the soft pillow on my bed
That I may dream
sweet memories of you.

Thanks for the land to grow my wheat,
and green pastures to feed my sheep,
And the Bible in my hand
to keep me strong.

My Wonderful Mother

by

Kenny Neilson

My wonderful mother,
God knows that I love her.
She means more to me
than all the world I see.

My wonderful mother,
no wonder dad loves her.
Sheís the only one who would
never do me, any wrong.

Sheís the mother of my years,
gives me comfort, calms my fears.
Her arms are always open
to my beckon call.

Oh, how precious is her love,
and I thank my Lord above
For a mother such as she,
none can compare.

My wonderful mother,
God knows that I love her.
She means more to me
than all the world I see.

My wonderful mother,
no wonder dad loves her.
Sheís the only one who would
never do me, any wrong.

She would always let me see
that she believed in me.
She had that way of saying,
you can make it.

And today she has not changed,
her heart remains the same.
Just what she means to me,
words canít express.

My wonderful mother,
God knows that I love her.
She means more to me
than all the world I see.

My wonderful mother,
no wonder dad loves her.
Sheís the only one who would
never do me, any wrong.

None, but the God of Abraham

by

Kenny Neilson

Who put all the stars up there in the sky?
Who made all the birds, and taught them how to fly?
Who makes us feel happy when we sometimes want to cry?
None, but the God of Abraham!

Who made all the mountains, gave us rivers, and streams,
And all the pretty flowers, and the autumn leaves?
Who gave us all a nose so we're able to sneeze?
None, but the God of Abraham!

Who is this God who gives us, oh, so much?
Who tells us he loves us with his healing touch?
Who whispers in the wind, "I'll always be your friend?"
None, but the God of Abraham!

Who made all the animals, the monkeys, and the frogs,
The fishes in the ocean, and the cats, and the dogs?
And what about the tadpoles, and the pollywogs?
None, but the God of Abraham!

Who created man just like you and me?
Who gave us ears to hear, and two big eyes to see?
I'm sure you know by now who this has to be:
None, but the God of Abraham!

Now you know who made us, and who gave us everything,
Why don't we just thank him, and lift our hearts to sing:
"Thank you, God of Abraham for all you've done for me,
And may I say, I love you, Lord, and I'll always worship Thee."

Point Edward's Centennial Song

by

Kenny Neilson

Come! Come! Come to the Point!
Come to Point Edward's Centennial.
We're all waiting for you,
So do it now, do it soon.

Have you seen the Bluewater Bridge
Spanning the River St. Clair?
Just look down below,
There's a place we all know,
Point Edward, we love you.

Incorporated as a town,
She's part of history.
In June of eighteen-seven-eight,
Point Edward came to be.

So Come! Come! Come to the Point!
Come to Point Edward's Centennial.
We're all waiting for you,
So do it now, do it soon.

Have you seen the Bluewater Bridge
Spanning the River St. Clair?
Just look down below,
There's a place we all know,
Point Edward, we love you.

A hundred years have come and gone,
Our village still stands tall.
Prosperity and happiness
Has been given to us all.

So Come! Come! Come to the Point!
Come to Point Edward's Centennial.
We're all waiting for you,
So do it now, do it soon.

Have you seen the Bluewater Bridge
Spanning the River St. Clair?
Just look down below,
There's a place we all know,
Point Edward, Ontario.

Make Christmas Day the Life to Live

by

Kenny Neilson

Christmas comes but once a year
to bring glad tidings and good cheer.
For everyone who likes to give,
make Christmas Day the life to live.

Jingle bells and cockle shells,
sleigh rides in the snow.
Canít you see that big green tree
with coloured lights, dazzling bright.

It soon will be morning, and weíll be enjoying
the opening of our Christmas joys.
Presents for you, and presents for me
lay beneath that Christmas tree.

The pleasure of giving is worthwhile living
whether it be large or small.
To see a big smile on the face of a child
has a value that money canít buy.

Sincerely I say, give something away,
something near and dear to your heart.
By doing this, you will not miss
the pleasures of life everlasting.

Yes, Christmas comes but once a year
to bring glad tidings and good cheer.
For everyone who likes to give,
make Christmas Day the life to live.

Oh, He's Dressed in Red

by

Kenny Neilson

Oh, heís dressed in red, and he carries a bag full of toys,
and he gives them out to good girls and boys.
Oh, he rides his sleigh with eight tiny reindeer,
and on Christmas Day, you will find heís been here.

If you look up in the sky, I am certain you will hear,
sleigh bells a-ringiní, Santa Claus is near.
Oh, he might visit you, if you have been good,
so you better start now, and do like you should.

Merry Christmas! and a Ho! Ho! Ho!
this is what youíll hear Santa say,
"God bless ev'ry little girl and boy,
I hope I bro't you some Christmas joy."

Then heíll ride back home with a great big smile,
and all Godís children will be happy for awhile.
And by next year on a beautiful Christmas morn,
you will thank the Lord that little Jesus was born.

Merry Christmas! and a Ho! Ho! Ho!
this is what youíll hear Santa say,
"If you be good, then I will be back
with a bunch of toys in my big brown sack."

Oh, heís dressed in red, and he carries a bag full of toys,
and he gives them out to good girls and boys.
Oh, he rides his sleigh with eight tiny reindeer,
and on Christmas Day, you will find heís been here.

Ho! Ho!

That's What Christmas Means to Me

by

Kenny Neilson

A world full of smiling faces
singing Christmas carols Ďround the tree,
Waiting patiently for Jesusí birthday,
thatís what Christmas means to me.

A gift especially wrapped for mom and daddy,
oh, what joy our eyes will see
When they open up their Christmas presents,
thatís what Christmas means to me.

Christmas is a time for rejoicing!
Christmas is a time for us to sing!
So letís sing sings of praise to Jesus,
and let ev'ry bell on earth begin to
Ring-ring-ring! Ring-ring-ring!

A turkey is cooking in the oven
while the lights are flashing on the tree,
And snow is falling down from heaven,
thatís what Christmas means to me.

The stockings are filled with Christmas candy,
many gifts are placed beneath the tree.
Jesus was born to be my Saviour,
thatís what Christmas means to me.

Christmas is a time for rejoicing!
Christmas is a time for us to sing!
So letís sing sings of praise to Jesus,
and let ev'ry bell on earth begin to
Ring-ring-ring! Ring-ring-ring!

A world full of smiling faces
singing Christmas carols Ďround the tree,
Waiting patiently for Jesusí birthday,
thatís what Christmas means to me.

Be Mine

by

Kenny Neilson

Come with me to the isle of love,
and you will find perfect harmony.
So please say you'll come my way,
and be mine.

Be my own just for eternity,
and I'll be yours forever by your side.
So please say you'll come my way,
and be mine.

I'm praying every night for you,
and I hope that you'll see me thru.

Be my love, you're all that I need,
and you will shine upon this heart of mine.
Please come with me, you'll answer
all my prayers.

I'm praying every night for you,
and I hope that you'll see me thru.

Be my love, you're all that I need
'cause you will be the perfect one for me.
So please say you'll come my way,
and be mine.

Proof of Love

by

Kenny Neilson

My reason for living is being with you,
to love and to cherish my whole life thru.
So if you will bless me with just one request,
I'll prove to you, darling, that you are the best.

My love and devotion is all I can give
except for this ring, and with I thee wed.
So if you will say that you'll become mine,
I'll prove to you, darling, that you are my kind.

Proof of love is the way to express
the meaning of love you'll never regret.
So try it, my darling, and you will see
that our love will last for eternity.

Until the End of Time

by

Kenny Neilson

Be my own true love, and never walk away.
I know it's a hard thing to do,
but if you will say you'll come my way
you'll make my every dream come true.

I know, my darling, it's late now,
but I'm sure we can make amends.
So why don't we get together,
and live in peaceful harmony.

I know you love me, so why pretend,
my love is yours alone.
My lonely heart keeps saying please be mine
I'll love you until the end of time.

Fill Me Up On Jesus

by

Kenny Neilson

Please give me more, more, more
of Jesus I pray,
And less, less, less
of me myself and I.
I want to serve the Master
more and more each day,
Please fill me up on Jesus.
Please give me powír, powír, powír
to win the victory,
To set myself aside,
and commit my life to Thee.
I want to serve the Master
more and more each day,
Please fill me up on Jesus.

A Link In The Chain

by

Kenny Neilson

Iím just a link in the chain!
A friend among the foes!
A born-again believer
From my head down to my toes!
A walkiní-talkiní Christian
Who has somethiní good to say:
"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ,
Ask Him in your heart today!"
Some call me a fanatic!
Sort of odd, and out-of-place!
But no one can deny
That thereís a smile upon my face!
Itís because the Lord is cominí,
Iíll be goiní with Him soon!
And when they find me missiní
Theyíll be singiní a diffírent tune!
He was a link in the chain!
A friend among the foes!
A born-again believer
From his head down to his toes!
He was a walkiní-talkiní Christian
Who had somethiní good to say:
"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ,

A Happy Song

by

Kenny Neilson

Iím gonna write a happy song,
Hoping you might sing along,
Maybe it will brighten up your day,
Yea! Yea! Yea!

Well it only takes a smile,
And in a little while,
You will want to sing,
The whole day through.

It doesnít cost a penny,
But it makes good common sense,
To enjoy yourself by singing,
So let the bells keep ringing.

Thereís no need to worry,
It wonít get you anywhere,
So dry your tears, try not to pout,
Why not let it all hang out

When youíre sad and lonely,
And thereís nothing left to do,
Think of me, and sing my song,
What else could you do thatís wrong.

Iím gonna write a happy song,
Hoping you might sing along,
Maybe it will brighten up your day,
Yea! Yea! Yea!

Well it only takes a smile,
And in a little while,
You will want to sing,
The whole day through.

Hear The Savior Call

by

Kenny Neilson

Can't you hear the Savior call
Can't you hear Him call your name
He's been asking just for you
He knows what you've been going thru
Why not answer Him, my friend
He's still calling out to you
Can't you hear the Savior call

It may be hard for you to hear
The Savior call your name
You may be so busy with your life
Seeking riches, worldly fame
But forget about that now
The King is calling through
From His throne in Heaven
Please answer Him, won't you

According to the Word of God
Jesus died for you and me
His precious blood shed for us all
Upon Calvary's tree
You can be forgiven of your sinful way
By saying, dear Jesus
Come in my heart this day

Can't you hear the Savior call
Can't you hear Him call your name
He's been asking just for you
He knows what you've been going thru
Why not answer Him, my friend
He's still calling out to you
Can't you hear the Savior call

The Sunny Side of Life

by

Kenny Neilson

Hey! everyone, lend me your ear,
I've got good news that you want to hear!
The greatest truth as pure as gold,
And he's bound to help any young or old!

To keep on the sunny side,
Turn to the one who died for you!
When there's no place for you to run and hide,
Why don't you keep on the sunny side of life!

When you're feelin' sad, and there's nothin' new,
Your heart's about to break inside of you!
When you need an answer to a prayer,
Well, just call his name, and he'll be there!

When everyone has let you down,
And loneliness is just a-hangin' round!
When you feel your life is at an end,
Well, just listen to these words again:

To keep on the sunny side,
No matter how rough it seems!
This world will be a much better place,
If we keep on the sunny side of life!

Have A Little Faith

by

Kenny Neilson

Troubled times may come your way,
But here's what to do,
Worried minds become at ease,
Here's good advice for you.

Have a little faith in Jesus,
Have a little trust in God.
Always listen to your Mother,
Pay attention to your Dad.
Never, never think of sorrow,
Only happiness lies ahead.
Have a little faith in Jesus,
You'll be glad you did.

Mistakes are made I do admit,
But correction is at hand.
Bow your head and turn to God,
He's one who understands.

And when Christ knocks upon your door,
Why not let Him in.
Then you'll have eternal life,
And you'll be freed from sin.
