DIARY --- April 19th - 72

I've lost it all, my hopes, my dreams
Amy took them when she left me
She had other things in mind, it seems
Now my home and heart are empty

With him in days, engaged within weeks
It's clear it's me she'll live without
No time to beg, no time to plead
She packed her stuff and moved out

Many Chances to treat her right
She told me all along
I really fucked up this time
Too late to fix the wrongs

There's times i want her near me
Moments screaming out her name
Praying to god that she'll hear me
Come back and love me the same

Tonight I'll just lie in bed
And cry one more last time
I'll forget the things she said
And tommorow I'll be fine

DIARY --- May 10th - 72

I wake again in yesterdays world
feeling not much like a man
still so in love with the girl
With HIS ring on her hand

Emotion sheds a few more tears
From deep within my soul
This may take many years
But i've got to let her go

She looks so much happier now
When i look at her from hiding
That smile lightens me somehow
And eases love lost inside me

I'll keep myself, my lost expression
Try not to speak her name
Just write secret poems like this one
And do my best to hide my shame

Tonight i'll get some peaceful sleep
In the morning feel no pain
Thoughts of her, i'll bury deep
'Cause tommorow'll be a better day
