Not What Dylan Said.

LET US SLIP GENTLY INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT,
NOT RAGE AND FUSS AND FIGHT,
AT THE DYING OF THE LIGHT.

WHY ALL THE PASSION AND TENACITY,
IN ACHIEVING HARD WON MEDIOCRITY.
WHEN GENIUS IS ANOTHERS' NATURALLY?

IT SEEMS THAT THERE IS NO PURPOSE,
TO ALL LIFE'S PAIN AND CRUEL DISTRESS,
WHEN TRYING TO CAPTURE A SUNBEAMS BRIEFNESS.

YET ALL, MAY DANCE AND SING,
AND CATCH A LITTLE GLIMSE,
OF THAT MYSTERIOUS SOMETHING.

WISE MEN ACCEPT AND DO NOT RAGE,
KNOWING ALL IS PART OF AGE,
AND WITH ACQUIESCENCE, ASSUAGE.

FOR WHEN THAT BLINDING LIGHT,
ABSORBS US IN ATOMIC BLAST,
LET US SLIP GENTLY INTO THE NIGHT,
WITHOUT RAGE OR FUSS BUT STEADFAST,
AT THE PROMISE OF THE DYING LIGHT.
