A Scream For Help

by

Heather Muir

What is that I hear
What is this I see
It seems to be coming
>From inside of me
I am screaming for help
But no one does care
I am over here
And they are over there
No one even comes to ask
What is wrong with me
No one sees me at all
Why do I always feel so small
Me, no one can see
Itís like Iím wearing a mask

A Vampire Walks

by

Heather Muir

Late at night heís on the prowl
Looking for that special someone
To feast upon to calm his thirst
And leave them there when he is done
During the day he sleeps in a coffin
Dreaming like you or I
Then at night be comes out
And takes to the sky
So late at night stay inside
And lock your doors and windows
That way he can never get you
Wherever he goes, wrong!
He can unlock doors with special powers
And can break a window with the touch of a finger
No matter where you are late a night
You could be that age forever.

A Wish, A Vision, A Hope To Pray For

by

Heather Muir

A dream is a wish
Your heart does make
It may come true
Or the wish may be fake
A dream is a vision
Of what you want to see
It may be seen in the future
Or a picture of what will never be
A dream is hope
Of how you want your life to turn out
This is your future
What your life is about
A dream may come true
Or a dream may not
Keep your dreams in the back of your thoughts
And be thankful for what you now have got

All My Life

by

Heather Muir

All my life I wanted to be something Iím not
I wanted to be better
I wanted to fit in
Now I know I am what I am
And I can never be any different

Alone

by

Heather Muir

Loneliness can be your friend
It makes you closer to yourself
Donít be frustrated if you have few friends
Being alone teaches you more about relationships
Than anyone could teach you
Take pride that you can still find
Time for the only one in the world
That will understand you
When no one else can
When your schedule is packed
Making time for yourself
Is something few people do
But trust me it feels good to
See how much you learn about the people
You know when you are alone

Always Smiling

by

Heather Muir

She said she was fine
She said she was okay
She looked happy on the outside
But inside was a different way
She woke up in the morning
And put on a happy face
She went to school looking
Looking for her place
As she lay down
Lay down in bed
Too many unwanted questions
Ran through her head
Would my friends miss me
If I was not here?
Would they be happy
Or would they shed many a tear?
Is life worth living
For someone like me?
When will my life be my own?
When will I be free?
She tried to back out
Many many times
She never did succeed
Never crossed the line
Then she met him
The guy of her dreams
They started going steady
And her smile did gleam
No longer did she have
To put on a happy face
She was so happy
And she had found her place
Now she said she was fine
She said she was okay
She looked happy on the outside
And inside felt the same way
She had found her key
To a happy life
She always smiled now
And threw away her knife

Best Friends

by

Heather Muir

Best friends can hurt you bad
They steal your guys and make you mad
All they do is make you cry
And tell you many a lie
Best friends say their mouth is shut
If they say that, their throat should be cut
They never mean it when they say
I swear, when they mean it, that will be the day
Best friends are never what they seem to be
Making your life hell gives them glee
Donít ever trust their word when they give it to you
Donít ever let them tell you what to do

Cheating Hearts

by

Heather Muir

She closes her door
Turns out the light
And bundles up
For a cold and lonely night

Her heart was just broken
Her mind is a mess
At being the strong one
She tries her best

Her boyfriend was cheating
With her best of friends
All in one night
Two relationships end

She turns over to rest
And hears a know at the door
Her boyfriend no less

Cry Into The Light

by

Heather Muir

A walk in the woods
One man did take
More time he wanted to buy
More friends he wanted to make
The light was fast approaching
And time was running out
"Why am I so young
Whatís this all about?"
This man would never know
How many lives he did change
Because the light was closing in
Coming into his sight range
"Tell Lucy I love her
Tell Mary to live on."
This was all the man could say
Now that heís almost gone
He was very close now
It was very bright
This man never looked back
As he cried into the light

Cuts Like A Knife

by

Heather Muir

A girl once lost
Her very best friend
She never knew how
Such a special life could end
She woke up one morning
To hear the bad news
Her friend was gone
Her friend she did lose
She knew she had
To get on with her life
But that was very hard
This cut like a knife
She managed to get through
And got on with everything
She never forgot her friend
Who was fit to be a King
She keeps her friend
Warm in her heart
This special life isnít over
Until her own does end

Darkness

by

Heather Muir

Darkness surrounds me
It swallows me whole
Darkness is deafening
Black as coal
Darkness is scary
As it dims your sight
Darkness inspires me
To sleep through the night
I love the darkness
As scary as it is
It makes me feel whole inside
For Iíd have sleepless nights without its guide

Depression

by

Heather Muir

Depression is not the best thing
To have to go through during life
Trust me I went through it
And cut my wrist open with a knife
Iím fine now, donít you worry
Iím safe now, donít you fret
Life is more important
Than anything else you try to get
Anyone who is going through this
Knows just how I feel
You think death is better
You try to make it real
Listen when I tell you
Suicide isnít worth it
Find someone to help you
And you can make it through it
Tell someone how youíre feeling
Tell someone who cares
Tell someone what youíre going through
Start to climb the stairs
A friend will make you feel better
Theyíll listen when you talk
They wonít tell a single sole
Theyíre not the type to mock
Friends can be very helpful
In situations like these
You donít have to beg them to listen
You donít have to get down on your knees
Remember what Iíve told you
Keep it in your mind
It will really keep you safe
This youíre sure to find

Different Than Thee

by

Heather Muir

Why are people
They way that we are
>From civilized people
We are so far
We make fun of people
That are different than thee
That are different from the way we look
People we donít like to see
We put people down
ĎCause of colour and race
We put people down
If we donít share the same face
We make people feel bad
For the things they believe in
Like different religions are wrong
Like they are a sin
When you think about this
Does it make you mad
Well maybe it should
Since weíve all done something bad

Don't Give Up

by

Heather Muir

There was a path
One man did take
It led to darkness
The light did break
He kept on walking
But no light did come
He was so scared
His mind, body and soul went numb
He thought to himself
"This can only get better"
So he didnít give up
Through this stormy weather
The path kept going
And so did the man
"I can make it to the light
Yes, I know I can"
His legs were getting sore
He was about to give in
He wanted to give up
A long trip this had been
Just as he sat down
And said "This is it"
The light began to come back
And he didnít quit
He got back up
And walked towards the light
He found it finally
Because he didnít give up the fight
