Wrapture

by

Mindman

A scavenging band approached a forgotten tomb,

Their mission to plunder under the cloak of the moon.

Nothing could sway the force of such greed,

The riches below gave strength to the deed.

Three hooded figures pried open the door,

Their thoughts focused solely on the treasures in store.

Yet something was buried not made of gold,

Forgotten by time, now decrepit and old.

A perpetual dweller of the ancient cave,

Alone it sleeps now awakened by rage.

Off slides the lid of its elaborate case,

Loose bandages dangle from a disfigured face.

It peers through the minds of the adventurous three,

Tainted by corruption, none could be freed.

Hatred moves limbs, frozen centuries ago,

In darkness it stalks, ungainly and slow.

The band blunders forward, blind to the doom,

Lurking in the shadows of the adjoining room.

A withered hand found its grisly mark,

It snatched the third to the abyss of the dark.

Subdued, he never managed to scream,

His torch fell to earth thus alerting the team.

The two spun around now dripping with fear,

Both felt the presence of something terrible and near.

Then out of haze emerged the slave of the crypt,

Something like bones shot forth from its hip,

The missiles pierced the intruders right through the heart,

They fell bleeding and screaming, their world came apart.

But the embrace of death only came to the third,

The two had stopped breathing but inside they stirred.

The missiles which struck them, now melted like paste,

Formed a cocoon around them, and rotted their face.

Wrappings replace clothes, and rigor mortis claims skin,

Inhuman they rise, down a dark path begin.

So woe to all would be disturbers of the tomb,

For now three, not one, guard the fruit of the womb

Twisted Affections

by

Mindman

Her fingers probed my icy flesh,

Her head in my arms I can't help but caress.

Desire shines in her seductive blue eyes,

She'll never guess what I can hide.

Her face is young; her skin is fair,

Her body is soft, her neck is bare.

She looks at me; I stare deep into her,

Love is so twisted for I'm so impure.

A child of darkness with an angel of light,

So perfectly wrong, but sadistically right.

She trembles with pleasure; I wallow in grief,

Instinct beats conscience, my prey lies beneath.

Her pulse starts racing, I simply react,

Driven by hunger my fangs contract.

I pierce her body, she squeals in surprise,

All the color drains from her eyes.

She struggles while she fades away.

Her feverish passion so completely betrayed.

Consumed by her blindness, and bled by her lust

Her soul now lies empty, a victim of trust.

My bloodlust is over; her life is no more

My prey is so easy, for love is my lure.

Bimbo

by

Mindman

Waist high in shallow water,

Pull me out before I drown.

Wallowing in a blanket of ignorance

That sensuous beauty cannot cover up.

Vile ignorance tainting the masterpiece,

Forever scarring perfected flesh.

Temptation, hunger, pulling me closer...

To human bait insanely divine

Sweet lure I cast you off

My heart bleeds for constant scales.

Farewell enchantment, seduce another shallow...

Lycanthrophy

by

Mindman

Anger boiling to spill forth rage,

A rabid beast of terror uncaged,

It's only lust killing, madness, and pain,

Eager to add to the countless slain.

You cannot chain this beast of war,

So thirsty for violence, blood and gore.

For it silently waits to lash out and strike,

Untill defenses are low and the time is just right.

When you least expect it, it will come,

You cannot fight it, you just succomb...

Some will provoke you, they refuse to believe,

Your temper will flare, your anger will seeth,

Most start to laugh, all will poke fun,

They cannot imagine the harm they have done.

You try to contain it, but it always escapes,

It grins with glee and starts to rape.

You cannot fight back, you've ceased to be,

The nightmarish creature has broken free.

Your body, your soul, torn from your grasp,

Your essence removed as a sail from a mast.

You can only watch as the awestruck gang,

Sees hair replace skin and teeth mold to fangs.

The laughter subsides, mouths fall agape,

Frozen with fear, none can escape.

The fiend has awakened from murderous sleep,

The mutation is over, its snout probes for meat.

He spies the mob, and hears their screams,

Muscles turn tense, and senses keen.

He leaps into the crowd, claws out-stretched,

Tearing off limbs and rending flesh.

Biting their necks and snapping their bones,

Eating the organs from the screaming prone.

Then he departs from the bloody mess,

The bloodlust is over so he leaves the rest,

To bleed to death, a cruel fate,

Mangled bodies in the killer's wake.

His strength is depleted, the deed is now done,

With no hatred to fuel him, a dying sun.

At last you come back, your body is whole,

The beast now subsides and you have control.

Yet you can't remember, can't seem to place,

Just why you are stained, with red on your face...

Seafaring Wonder

by

Mindman

Dancing enchantress of the turbulent sea,

Ocean bound dweller, wild and free.

Legends sing of your beauty and grace,

Playful frolic in the waves you embrace.

How I long to swim beside you,

In undersea wonder through oceans of blue.

Night after night, I lay down by the shore,

Silently watching while my acrobat soars.

Wonderful serenity bathes a tortured soul,

Inclining tuned ears to your song that consoles.

Marine symphonies sweep all worries away,

You radiate joy that mere words can't convey.

Often dreams hinge on shedding this shell,

Unraveling my chains to bid sorrow farewell.

Reveling in freedom, and swimming with lust,

With you by my side there's an unspoken trust.

A gift from the sea, is what you are to me,

You inspire the strangest curiosity.

Tenacious yet gentle, gliding through air,

On crests of white water you slide without care.

Mesmerized by majesty, lost in my dreams,

Enamored to a dolphin, my beauty, my queen.

Fisher of Men

by

Mindman

A conjured ailment coughed through the phone,

With all strings severed, he set out alone.

Finally freed from dull cubicle prison,

Morning birds chirped in support of his mission,

The vehicle lazily rolled to a stop,

He sat foot in heaven, his fishing spot.

The soft mud closed on crusty white feet,

The canoe slid down from its perch on the jeep.

A sun hat covered in lures formed a crown,

With a twelve pack of beer to wash the stress down.

The lagoon was unique, its spell like no other,

The soothing sounds whispered in the ears of a lover.

The gear was packed, and the shoreline vanished,

Under a canopy of peace with society banished.

Alone in his solace, he picked up his friend,

His trusty wood rod with a worm on the end.

With a mighty cast his luck soared towards the lake,

The exertion alone demands beer and a break.

The morning sun lulled a stressed soul to sleep…

The wormless hook sunk into the watery deep.

***************************************

A downward spiral toward the bottom of the abyss,

Coming finally to rest where there were no fish.

For all creatures knew with religious fervor,

To wander near here spelled doom forever.

For this was the lair of one beast alone,

A monster, a horror, this sanctum his home.

Yet the hook had no fear, and no cargo attached,

The accompanying worm had been long since dispatched.

Metallic and shiny, a light piercing the murk,

Floating oblivious to where danger may lurk.

Crimson eyes opened, irritation sparked rage,

What foolish creature would shine light on my cage?

>From the deepest of pits slithered the bane of the lake,

Scales oozing with slime, with limbs as a snake.

Closer it stalked, cunning eyes never swerved,

Formed a smile, faint, that without lips never curved.

Appears a fish nabbed the morsel, but forsook the feast,

A rare delicacy dangled at the end of this leash.

The master reached for the silvery string,

Eager to taste the meal it would bring.

***************************************

The fantasy fading, his lover ascending,

So close to heaven, why must it be ending?

Her soft rosy lips felt real as the sunlight,

Dreamscape dying in reality's snakebite.

But wait the pole! Dreams dashed to pieces,

Focused on details while neglecting the thesis.

He sprang to life, a frenzy of motion,

Clutching the rod with religious devotion.

The rod held high, bent and still stretching,

His mind drew a blank, what beast was he catching?

The reel released line as a kite tossed in storm,

As the pole surged forward the boat too conformed.

*************************************************

Hands soaked red, but eyes blazed with glory,

The bar would be spellbound as he told the story.

Dragged by a fish, surely soon it must tire,

How could something so big dwell in this mire?

The fight raged on in the core of the lagoon,

Exhaustion crept close at the sight of the moon.

A phone cried out, a split second distraction,

Spawning a second spontaneous reaction.

The boat lurched forward; one hand lost its grip,

His weight flung forward, the bow shifted and tipped.

Tossed in the water, arms flailed in surprise,

A liquid prison snuffed the use of his eyes.

Directions suspended, mind set on the surface,

No warning to tell his soul to be nervous.

>From the fathomless bottom, emerges the creature,

Mouth eager to turn from pupil to teacher.

Wrapping up limbs like sheets of barbed wire,

Red clouds replace smoke in a tentacle pyre.

Dragging all dreams to the hopeless below,

Where the hunter is hunted, even water turns foe.

He was eaten alive, given no time to drown,

A cellular phone was all that they found.

Forbidden Enticement

by

Mindman

Sweet temptation, insanely divine,

Calling toward a weakened soul,

Desire howling to scare off sense,

Drowning in tidal waves of lust,

Greed overshadowing judgement,

Fear cast off, gratification strikes!

Pangs of discovery, silenced by ecstasy...

The child eats the stolen cookie.

Forsaken Glory

by

Mindman

The ground is littered with carrion men,

Faces twisted in hideous grins.

Their essence, their souls, departed at last,

The tides of war have ebbed and past.

Their goals, their hopes and dreams,

Shattered by a volley of ghastly screams,

During war, the terror unleashed,

Licking its lips for the savage feast,

Of men; clinging to glory with lifeless eyes,

Shattered bones, and spilled insides, and

Gushing blood, seeping, reaching to the ground,

As a child's mother having been found.

Their memories, drowning in blood of

Comrade and foe as a rushing flood while

The VICTIMS, one corpse stands out,

A nameless boy with his eyes gouged out.

A child! Innocent, a soul too pure,

All morals forsaken by rivers of gore.

Just rotting, wasting, priceless meat,

Bodies decaying in the noonday heat.

The void, having claimed its share,

Leaves the fallen under vultures care.

No graves, to remember the dead,

The victorious army forges ahead.

The commander, with red on his hands,

Spurns his troops to foreign lands.

To leave them, no time to waste,

No parting speech or resting place,

For the slain. So few remained,

A monument to Hades fame.

While countless others are left behind,

The wounded, maimed, and groping blind,

To starve, to die, too feeble to walk,

To keep pace with the sheep of a dwindling flock.

A man cries out, his final act,

All suffering ended by a falling ax.

The remaining soldiers, even less humane,

Leave the wounded to wallow in pain.

Broken, bleeding from open wounds,

Eager to lapse into phantasmal tombs.

Their memories, flow as life,

Dripping as blood from a warrior's knife.

Memories, delusions of heroes and knights,

Lies claiming lives in the thick of the fight.

While Chaos, lurking in the form of men,

Silently waits to lash out again.

During the battle, when men drop as rain,

Falling dominoes in Murder's game.

The men transform into dogs of war,

Blindly march forward, thirsty for more.

While their leader, heavy with guilt,

The blood of his men drip from the hilt,

Of his sword, which runs his life.

Through legions of foes and none survives,

To tell, of a nightmarish hell,

Only he and sword know so well.

He laughs at the ignorant pawns,

They don't even know the carnage they spawn.

His dark secret, so perfectly safe,

The devil's servant in a mortal place.

His sheep, the dogs simply follow commands,

Spreading the slaughter to distant lands.

And his lie thoroughly deceives the horde,

Into false hopes of glory and hero's awards.

When finally the demon, disguised by the mask,

Of their commander, shines clear at last.

To the horror of all, a wolf in the flock!

All are frozen from iniquity's shock.

Then the battlefield is no longer shielded,

They now see the harvest their blades have yielded.

But Alas! It's far too late,

To save themselves from sharing the fate,

Of the dead, for the enemy returns,

With fresh new soldiers the battle burns.

The odds, a hundred to one,

Panic breaks loose and they start to run,

Animals, in maddening stampede,

Leaves blown in the wind with no one to lead.

For the Demon, charged toward the swarm,

Slicing off limbs as stalks of corn.

But he fell, in a volley of swords,

Piercing through the demonic lord.

Extinguished, but his work was complete,

The crusaders slaughtered his former sheep.

The massacre began, the butchers pursued,

No shepherd to guide them all were subdued.

By the scores, their bodies piled high,

For the other side still held to the lie.

The banner was waved, the winners cheered,

It seemed the demon had reappeared.

Love's A Drug

by

Mindman

Feeling magic as I lie in my bed,
Every thought focused on words that you said,
Even now I still see your face,
Lusting for lips I'm longing to taste
I crave to hear your voice in my ear
Not saying much just something sincere
Granting permission enter your heart
Holding me back from falling apart
I can't believe I've fallen so fast,
Green eyes glimmer like shattered glass
Haunting my soul, a passionate curse
I cannot escape from these feelings I nurse
Deep down inside we are meant to be
Open your heart, then you will see
Nothing you say can change what I feel
To stop the motion of a lover's wheel
Keep fighting me for as long as you can
Never allow me to kiss your hand
Object when I worship the ground at your feet
When feeling your heart skip a beat
With time perhaps you'll understand why
How without your love I think I'll die
You are the reason I feel high…

Wailing Shadow

by

Mindman

I am the shadow you seek to hide.

I wonder if you really care

I see the darkness in your soul

I crave the power; I want control

I am the shadow you seek to hide.

I pretend to follow your every wish

I feel the hate and loveless kiss

I touch the sadness in an iron heart

I worry your drugs will tear me apart

I cry for freedom to sever the knot

I am the shadow you seek to hide.

I understand your troubled mind

I say I envy all humankind

I dream to shed this phantom cast

I long to shatter this mold at last

I hope to call a thought my own

I am the shadow you seek to hide.

Sinful Pleasure

by

Mindman

My private utopia so morally wrong,

An obsession, unholy, persuasion so strong,

Sadistical cravings spawn in my mind,

Temptation swallows me into its bind.

Underneath its spell I wallow in shame,

Resistance is futile when there's nothing to gain

Becoming enslaved to one's desire is impure,

Against all that is natural it appears to endure.

Trapped in perversion I cannot escape,

Inside I'm empty, damnation my fate.

Outer reflections hide darkness within,

Nothing can cure the depths of my sin.

Trapped On the Outside

by

Mindman

Mental anguish banishes order,

A poor man crosses sanity's border.

No respite from burning trial,

Insufferable pain drowned by denial.

Grinding his teeth with sweat on his face,

Obstacles mount to restrain him in place.

Toward freedom he strides, to no avail,

Thwarted by barriers, skin growing pale.

Objective in mind, desperation sets in,

Pressing him forward, toward freedom, pure Zen.

Immersed in self-misery, time seems to slow,

Squeezing repression, the agony grows.

Single-minded barbarian, raging, possessed,

Bursting within from invisible stress.

Aching eyes probe for one omen,

Dashing exodus, the messiah swings open.

Unfortunate Departed

by

Mindman

In a world of black, I cannot see.

Trapped in my body, trying to break free.

Madness and horrors litter my mind,

Subtle realities are left far behind.

My eyes are dried, devoid of juice,

My ears are gone, my teeth are loose.

I want to move, yet my body has froze,

Rigor Mortis claimed my nose.

This tomb is empty, I feel cold,

I must escape, I am growing mold.

I try to scream, I try to speak,

The air is dry, I need a drink!

Thousands of creatures feast through the day,

Feed on my body that's slowly decayed.

My grave is small in the catacomb,

The rodents nibble at my bones.

I've long since past crazy, now insane,

The worms have started to eat my brain.

They slowly crept inside my tomb,

Eager to seal my darkest doom.

WHEN will I leave, where will I go?

Time seems endless here below.

What happens next? Am I misplaced?

Is this the fate of the human race?

What happened to heaven? Send me to hell!

For nothing compares to these horrors I tell.

For this is a Void, dark and obscene.

I must wake up, it MUST be a dream.

But that's not so, it's frightfully real,

Swimming in madness in this world surreal.

I cannot escape, but I MUST ascend.

This can't be my fate, this can't be the end.

There is no night. There is no day.

WHERE 's the angels? Didn't I pray?

Is THIS the fate I'm doomed to live?

Alive, but dead, damned in a crypt?

I remember too well the stories and claims,

But that light at the end of the tunnel is pain…
