Let me turn from you
to a different direction.
Let me find a place to set my feet
other than your shifting sands.

I will not beg of argue with the wind
to be still.
I will not yell at a storm
to stop.

Lament to a Lost Love

I will howl my despair on distant mountain tops.

Like the river,
I will cry my sorrow softly upon far away shores.

You are gone,
and there is nothing left to do but grieve.
