Reflecting on Columbine

by

Jane Leseure

What were you thinking
As you walked through the door
Engaging in you psychotic war
Life had no meaning to you on this day
As you killed precious people
Who stood in your way
Somewhere along the life that you lived
Turmoil and chaos came creeping in
And what should we think of you
Now that your gone
With broken hearts left to carry on
Opinons are many
Some forgive,some condem
The opinon that matters
Comes not from men
Awaken us yes you have to this day
And now as a nation
United we pray

The Artic

by

Jane Leseure

Timeless as the generations go
Breaths of life frozen in snow
Suns rays glistening on ice
Barren wilderness,yet full of life
Beauty abounds on the tundra today
Images grasped in natures ways
Silence in this mystical land
Sharpened senses,awareness raised
Taking in this glacier age

In Search of Gold

by

Jane Leseure

On the prarie the wagons come in groves
Traveling west in search of the gold
There is no turning back for we will go on
And face the struggles that lie beyond
Indian villages come into view
No need to worry for now there are few
We push on ore the great divide
Before it is conquered, many will die
Days and nights,seem forever
Where is this gold will it be or never
Traveling on in the history books we go
Dreaming of nuggets of bright shiny gold
The gold rush, they come from a far
Weathering the elements
Wishing upon a star

Prophecy

by

Jane Leseure

And the walls came tumbling down
Listen you can hear the alarms sound
Confusion and chaos its all around
Take your armies and run for higher ground
Put on your suits for the great one to appear
Now run from your enemies the time is near
Rains of fire your covered in ash
You cannot hold on you're beaten at last
The powers within they do collide
But the strongest of all still resides
