You are God's own gift.
He made you f or his pleasure
and you bring him great joy
all that you are is earthly treasure
so never, never
think badly, give up, or destroy
the life he created with utmost care
this would be ungrateful to God
and we should not dare
It may be inconvenient and hardly a blessing
to deal with circumstances unforeseen
but do you think God meant to be mean?
He knows of our suffering
He hears of our pain
We don't understand
the reasons aren't plain
but God has his ways that are greater than ours
He fashioned each life after his own
He alone should decide when to take each one home
each of us, young and old
are important and special
we need to be told
No matter how frail, how small,or infirm
life is a gift so precious and pure
from the greatest of givers
with the greatest of love
from a great awesome God up above.
