Perfection

by

Nycole Leigh

Once there was a little girl
She was said to have the perfect world
But one rainy day her walls came down
Crashing around her to the ground
All of a sudden there was pain
And then it began to rain
The little girl felt the cold
She had nothing left to grasp or hold
Her perfect world became like hell
No one was left for her to tell
So instead she sat on the ground
And veiwed the wreckage all around
She saw her life pass through her head
She felt her chaos run blood-red
Then she watched it leave her veins
Ending all the hurt and pain
As things got hazy and not quite right
She said her very last good-night
Now she lays cold and still
No longer sitting by the window sill
Watching her perfect world go by
I guess that's what happens when you die
