Scarred

by

Margaret Anne Lee

It may seem like I'm in control
But sometimes I let it slip
that I'm not.
After all those words they said to me,
and all those kisses they gave to me,
and all the lies they fed to me,
It seems I could no longer hide my frustrations.
And my pain now runs
deeper than the darkest sea
and higher than the bluest sky.
They'll never know
how badly they've hurt me.

Me

by

Margaret Anne Lee

I hate him.
But it's not that I'm not in love
Because I love him more than life itself
It's only that he can't.
He can't seem to peel off my mask.
The mask of who I thought he wanted me to be,
to reveal underneath who I really am
Who I was meant to be.
And I hate him.
Because he can't do it.
And untill he does
Even I don't know me.

daisy

In a field,
there stands a single daisy,
blowing in the wind,
doing nothing, but
living.
