Above The Rest

When you feel like the outsider of all the groups
at school,
When your thinking ranges above those you thought you knew,
Just know that you're above the rest.
People have no love for those who challenge their mind.
Intelligence scares them to death,
Because they feel they are left behind.
Groups are formed and ignorance increases.
Peace that can about in the 60's ceases.
Hearts are broken between long-term lovers
because all the other mate wanted was love under the covers.
Humanity becomes a term meaning hate.
Those who try to change the world are a little to late.
But those who refuse to be sucked into the repititous ways
become the strong who refuse to change no matter what anyone says.
I am above the rest,
not because I think I'm the best
and think of you less.
It's just I don't fall into the trap called mess.
