Blue Book

by

Prase Kobila

I opened my blue book
I searched through the pages
I was not looking for anything in particular
I was just bored
I continued walking
I reached a bridge
I was wondering what is going to happen if jump
I decided to try so I will not be bored any more
It worked.
I was never bored again.

Funeral

by

Prase Kobila

It was one of the happiest moments in my life since Sunday.
I was going to see my father again.
Everybody was crying and trying to talk to me.
I was not listening, I was trying to enjoy the moment.
My father was sleeping peacefully in the coffin.
He was smiling, he was happy too.
His skin was yellow, but I could still feel its softness.
His hair looked darker and shinier.
His hands were crossed over his chest.
I tried to kiss him, but I could not.
I tried to tell him that I love him, but I could not.
I could finally cry, because I was angry.
I wanted my daddy back.
But he was about to be turned into ashes.
I wished I could hug him one more time,
But all I could hug was the stone with his name on it.

Against

by

Prase Kobila

To dislike is a virtue.
To love is a vice.
To copy is good.
To create is bad.
To offend is a skill.
To please is a disability.
To lie is appealing.
To be honest is appaling.
To be late is necessary.
To be prompt is unnecessary.
To be a failure is an accomplishment.
To be a hero is an embarrassment.
