Fair Blows The Wind

Jason Klonne

Fair blows the wind
That rustles through my hair
Though my lips try to speak
The words are never there

I can see the lights
Bouncing in the night
Like fire-flies a-glow
They burn dim, then bright

I feel the mist spray
As it crashes to the side
Like night's own shower
That flows with the tide

I stagger with the ship
As it rolls left, right
The crow's nest screems
As it quickly catches sight

All senses die
Short but sweet
No more wind in my hair
No more fire-flies to greet.
