Cat's Eye

by

Jerry M. King

I gazed into a cat's eye,
And, what did I see?
A Soul that was pure,
But, wild and free.

I looked into a cat's eye,
And, what did I learn?
Of a past that was cluttered
With wreck and debris.

I looked into a cat's eye,
And then I saw,
The good from the past, remembered;
The bad long gone.

AND ONCE MORE

I gazed into a cat's eye,
And it was true,.
The feelings were there,
Unconditional love for you.
