Though Time Travels On

by

Bonnie L. King

Though time travels on...
the pain never goes away...
It seems like yesteday...
The memories are all so clear...
Of all the times we shared while your were here...
And the special dreams we made...'
I'll never forget the look in your eyes...
The last time we said goodbye...
If I had only known...
That I'd never see your smiling face again...
Or hold you in my arms..
I wish I could have told you...
All the things I never got too...
Sometimes the memories just aren't enough...
And i long to hold you through the night...
Even if in the morning light your gone...
I know in time this pain will ease...
And someday be gone...
But those special memories will always live on...
