The Moon Speaks

by

Jenny King

The cold air blows against my face
The pain seeps in through my skin
To my soul
I close my eyes
Because for a moment I thought this was it
I thought my heart broke
I thought it wept
For something, anything that had made me feel the way I feel
The world spins and it turns so fast that tomorrow is here before I breathe
Before I speak
Before I see
A chill spreads through my heart
It shudders and it speaks but only to me
If I could stop it all I would
If I could see it all I would
If I could, I would
If could_If I could
I sigh
I pull it in
It hits hard against my chest
And today is today
Itís not tomorrow, itís not yesterday
The world turns and it spins
If my heart would beat for you, it would
If your heart would beat for me_
My heart shudders and it all turns to gray
