What do you think?

by

Kevin

What do you think?
Listen to what I have to say,
Cuz it might pass away like itís a Saturday
Who do you love?
Tell me who I need to be,
Because I need to see that youíre in need of me
What are your dreams?
Let me know I share a part,
Before I tear apart and lose my care and heart
Whatís in your mind?
Tell me how this makes you feel,
So I can take the wheel and we can make this real

You make me_.

by

Kevin

You make me crazy; I donít know what to do
You make me lazy, if I am ever not with you
So pretty baby, what Iíve got to do
Is not optional, I gotta talk to you

You make me question, you make me stop and think
I learn a lesson, a sort of shock you bring
And did I mention, when I see you I stop and shrink
The fat ladyís about to sing so Iíve got to think

You make me stupid; I look in your eyes
And I just lose it, Iím all lost inside
I canít just do it, I canít swallow my pride
Show my true side and not leave nothiní behind

You always make me sad when Iím in bed at night
Sometimes you drive me mad, but I donít pull a knife
Curiosity killed the cat but it gave me life
So I endure all the strife and hope Iíll do this right
Cause youíll make me

The Hardest Game

by

Kevin

At the free throw line
The big day
I should take my time
What to say
Spin, dribble, dribble, spin
Spin, dribble, dribble, spin
The ref hands me the ball
Just donít choke
I can handle it all
Just let it flow
Spin, dribble, dribble, spin
Spin, dribble, dribble, spin
Silence, pressure, performing under pain
Forget what they say itís more than a game
Spin, dribble, dribble, spin
Spin, dribble, dribble, spin
Do I have what it takes, are the stakes too high
Can I not be fake and still make you smile?
Spin, dribble, dribble, spin
Spin, dribble, dribble, spin
Itís out of my hands now
Towards the rim
Is it possible somehow
One day I could win?
Spin, dribble, dribble, spin
Spin, dribble, dribble, spin
Spin, dribble, dribble, spin

Goodbye

by

Kevin

My heart beats with your every step
So if you go then so will I
You, my secret only I have kept
One day Iíll let it fly, it fly
One day Iíll let it fly

One mistake I wonder why
So harshly I declared
A banishment so quick and dry
I gave but a looming stare, a glare
Gave not but a looming stare

That one day could go so sour
That you turned and never looked back
So now I cry to pass the hour
My world just seems so black, so black
My world seems just so black

And now I know one dreaded day
Youíll turn to me with teared eyes
One last time youíll look my way
And then we will say "Goodbye", "Goodbye"
And then we will say "Goodbye"

Is It Over?

by

Kevin

Itís too hard for me to see
It could end, are you leaving me?

After a whole year of laughs, tears, and smiles
Are you telling me there was no while?

I cannot fathom the day I feared has come
Does this mean that youíre not the one?

I donít know how Iím going to cope
Should I hold on to my last hope?

Canít be true
Wonít go through
My thick mind that I am blind

To not catch
The love you lack
Am I in luck with the doves or just a sucker for love?

I wish I could go back to when you crushed my dreams
For then at least dreams were had

I would go to any lengths and by any means
Because I want you that bad

I canít understand all the time that I spent in vain
For a few moments ease my pain

And come talk to me please get me sober
And just tell me that itís not over

If You Need Me

by

Kevin

If you need me Iíll be waiting;
But this trek has been degrading;
But youíre hard to hate,
I contemplate,
Your interest seems so waning.

If you want me Iíll be there;
To brush away your pretty hair;
So if wanting me,
Is hard to reach,
Move on without a care.

If you hate me Iíll be gone;
I wonít wait to hear your song;
But the cards you play,
Affect your day,
So tell me, am I wrong?

If you need me Iíll be ready;
ĎCause my heart is beating steady;
And Iím waiting for my chance;
While your glance increases heady.

I Know

by

Kevin

How can you want someone so bad, but love them so good?
Be treated so wrong, and feel so right.
How can you feel so down, when up you stood?
Feel so dark, lost in someone so light.

You try to hide your pain
But it shows.
From your smile to your eyes
To your clothes.
From your head to your neck
To your toes.
You might as well just see
That I know.

How can you need someone so hard, with a touch so soft?
Look so found, and feel so astray.
How can you cry so much, with smiles aloft?
Not even mentioning, I notice every play.

You try to hide your love
But it shows.
From your hug to your hand
To your pose.
From your shine to your shimmer
To your glow.
You might as well just know
That I know.

The Speaker

by

Kevin

The speakerís words coming through the speakers
He stands on the stand with a mic in his hand
Heís saying to me that I should never leave her
But he canít understand, how hard it is to be a man

The birdís song slicing through the morning
It fights through the cold, cuz the night is too bold
But it doesnít see that I am in mourning
And I pray for the hold, of the days of the old

The waterís sting blasting from the shower
Attempting to awake but my love will never shake
Wait for something to come and pass the hour
Until I see your smile again, and I can smile again

There To Catch If You Should Fall

by

Kevin

There to catch if you should fall
Whatís inside is worth the while
Answer to your every call
Through it all to see you smile

There to shoulder your crying eyes
For I cannot feel your pain
Nor can I save the lives
Or slow the ride that caused your strain

I cannot relate to your past
But I can try to understand
I may be first but sure not last
To jump off track for slender hands

There to catch if you should fall
Hoping youíll come out to play
Answer to your every call
Through it all to see you stay

Hate

by

Kevin

Blood,
On the floor
Your shoes, right by the door
Waiting to make their way out
Cuz youíre wanted here no more

Lust,
In your eyes
Her pain and all her cries
You kept your mouth so shut
When we asked for all your lies

Hate,
In our family
A wonder, were still standing
But what went through your mind
When you left that small girl panting

Death,
Is your fate
For causing all this hate
In a family once so loving
Now waits for your expiration date

Blood is on your hands
Lust in your eye
Makes me want to cry
How you made us smile
And make us die

So loved the games you play
Until one went astray
Makes me want to kill you
How you make me feel this way

You drug your brain
Your life is just a blemish
Makes me want to choke you
How you went from friend to menace

Hated, in our home
Your heart, a stone
Makes me want to pound you
How you led her in
And hurt her bones

I want my teeth to bleed you
With just your blood to feed you
Makes me want to torture you
Cause killing is beneath you

The Fence

by

Kevin

Sitting on the fence deciding
Leave it hiding
Itís so inspiring, so I sit and wait

Sitting on the fence is so safe
It is so safe
My own place, where decisions are mine

But I sliced my skin, on the fence today
And my normal routine went astray
Because I fight to win, but this fence will shake
And break and Iíll fall forever

Sitting on the fence is so hard
Oh itís so hard
So no more, will I rest on this fence

Sitting on this fence is so old
It got so old
And Iím so cold, so this fence is done

Untitled

Kevin

An optic rain
Your smile freezes the tears to my face
Your touch melts them to a flurry of white
Down
To my
Heart
The vocals fall off

A phonic fumble
Causing rambling rumble at the fault of romance
No opting for dignity

Love
Is leaving, losing, giving away importance
Keeping dignity

Love
Is crying yourself to sleep
To awake with a grin
..a glow

Love
Is a fiery aversion
Conspiring aspersion on my character of reason
That no one seems to
Understand.

Am I or not the one you want?

by

Kevin

I hide my face and shut my eyes
And stay behind my clever guise
For only here in never lies
The love of having you

The sight of you will leave me froze
Iím not so clever I suppose
For the truth is out, everyone knows
That Iíve gone mad for you

So what to say? Whatís your response?
Am I or not the one you want?
For life without you darkly haunts
And can you say the same?

If you say no, and come and go
Iíd like to say my love will slow
But chances are it will only grow
And Iíll lose it to this game

But if you say yes, weíll change the times
And find the rewind in our minds
And find the blind in all our lines
That hid our true emotions
