Missing

by

Shana Kelly

Far away, I hear your cry
your longing and yearning
to be by my side.
You're missing me.

And here, alone, I must endure
the pains of distance
which have no cure.
I'm missing you.

Days go past,
and I feel the hurt.
No need to ask,
I'm missing you.

So the mountains I will climb,
trudging every mile,
waiting for the time
when I can see you smile.

Like a reed in the wind
I will bend.
Until destiny and time
will pull together towards our end,
and again you will be mine.
